Most of these shows are held by Aniplex or simply out of print as former Bandai licenses. If you want to own them physically, you better be ready to pay some heafty pricing--if they are even available in some cases because the U.S. licenses for some of these titles (Perfect Blue and Neon Genesis Evangelion) are in limbo.

Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo is a Funimation title that has been released on their S.A.V.E. line. You can find it on Amazon for 20 bucks.

Code Geass, The Melancholy of Haruhi/Disappearance of Haruhi, Perfect Blue, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Baccano! were all released physically by various distributors that are either defunct or no longer hold rights to these respective series. These companies no longer distribute these series directly. Physical releases can still be obtained second-hand for $120 and upwards. Perfect Blue secondhand used copies are trending on Amazon for around 30 bucks which is the cheapest on your list, but you have to choose secondhand vendors very carefully (ESPECIALLY on Ebay) because many sell forged or pirated copies. In the case of Code Geass and The Melancholy of Haruhi, these rights were rescued by Funimation which will eventually release an affordable and high quality release but you are probably going to have to wait at least another year for them to come out. For these two titles, I highly suggest just waiting because Funimation releases are usually the best anyway.

Fate/Zero, Madoka Magica and Baccano! have been released stateside (the latter re-released) but the company released them (named Aniplex of America) is infamous in the anime community for price gouging titles under its ownership. You can obtain them, but not for cheap. Fate/Zero also had a limited run to my knowledge. As another user noted Madoka Magica is trending for around $120 for a 300 minute series. As a fellow collector, I personally despise Aniplex of America and have placed an embargo on them and suggest you do the same.

I see the Haruhi Complete collection listed, they also just released a new Blu-Ray version of both seasons of the original show which I just picked up for under $50: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HEXUFAK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The Complete Collection includes the 2 sequel series, whereas the one I listed above only has [the 2006 and 2009 seasons of] "The Melancholy of Hahuri Suzumiya"

While it isn't exactly a "UK" release, this Haruhi boxset is advertised as being locked to the US but plays perfectly on a reigon 2 Blu-Ray Player

Is this the US box set you bought that was also region B?

Do you know if the movie and spin off US release are also region B?

I actually prefer UK copies since the labels are English, however if the US versions are also region B, I might as well give those a try.

Keep in mind that most things on Amazon are price-matched from other competitors, so if you don't have access to Amazon deals or are a part of some rewards program on some other website, I recommend checking other competitors' prices through Google.

So, as of late Amazon has been placing more and more anime related content on sale ranging from movies, OVAs, complete series, etc.

To see more deals for Amazon Prime members:

  • click on the link

  • click on "Anime" that is a part of "Movies & TV › Boxed Sets › Anime" directory which is located directly above the Cowboy Bebop box image
  • than in the "refine by" option on the left of the screen, click on the Amazon Prime image, so that only Prime deals are displayed

    Some decent deals include:

>only contains about 12 episodes

There should be 14. That would be really odd if it's only 12.

This has both existing seasons right now.

This is for the sequel movie

If you really want to go all out, this has both seasons and a ton of extras including VA stuff, art, and spin-offs. It doesn't have the movie specifically, but there is a slot in the box for the movie case to fit in. It's really expensive though.
