Downside of a non-fully supported chamber is that for rounds getting close to the maximum pressure for the caliber, you can get a bit of a bulge in the case (aka Glock smile). This can make reloading a bit more of a pain although I don't think I've seen any real danger issues. Secondly, don't assume all commercial ammo rounds are always in spec, particularly from the smaller operations. I reload for 10mm and was surprised to see that a lot of prvi partisan rounds weren't in spec. They had issues in the chamber gauge and also feeding in my STI 2011 and Glock 29 with Lone Wolf aftermarket barrel. I know the Wound Channel on youtube also had an underwood 10mm round that blew up because the round was out of spec. You might want to get one of these and check those rounds to see if they drop in all the way without any effort or if they get stuck or are too long (are visible out the other end). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01313622M/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Buy one of these babies:

And let it be your god guide. My experience is, if you get it in the gauge then it will fit in the mag. And it is much easier to use than calipers.
