Turtle Beach These will do fine

they go on sale once in a while, I got them about 2 weeks after the game came out for $43. Like stated above, they are game changers. I never liked big headphones in the past but these are really comfortable. Nice short cord to the controller, easy button set up for muting and adjusting volume.

Turtle Beach XO One Amplified Stereo Gaming Headset (Xbox One) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00KSVXSZU/?&ref=flgs_ip_share

It's like £40

u/cjeagle · 2 pointsr/xboxone

It is an interesting accessory but I since I use my headphones a lot when using my Xbox console it wouldn't be enough. I need the 3.5 mm jack to use with my gamepad and this doesn't seem to have one.

Instead I added this headset + headset audio controller to my gamepad to have audio control as well as voice chat(with mic monitoring allowing you to hear yourself) control at my fingertips while using a headphone with my gamepad while sitting a few feet away in my couch.

If you want a decent no frills headset, I recommend the Turtle Beach XO One. It comes with the headset adapter and they sound really nice. There are separate volume controls for party chat and for game sound.

If you already have a nice pair of headphones and don't plan on chatting with anyone, a less expensive option is to just go pick up the Xbox One Headset Adapter and use any headphones or earbuds you want.

Ask for this for Christmas: https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Force-Amplified-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00KSVXSZU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1480911642&sr=8-2&keywords=xbox+one+headset

Having true stereo sound will really help you a lot. You will be able to hear where people are coming from before they are even on your radar. It also has a good mic. Right now you just hear stereo from in front of you and it is hard for your ears to distinguish right from left.

Using you mic and doing call outs is going to be distracting at first. But you will get a hold of it and you will start to make a big difference with your call outs. The names of the place on the map show up in the bottom left of your screen good luck.

These: http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Force-Amplified-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00KSVXSZU All of my xbox buddies and I have them, they go on sale between $40-$60 often but still not even $70 is bad for this, they have great control over which volume you want higher (chat or game) and include a noticeable bass boost button you can turn on and off. Also very comfy, I wear them for hours on end each day and barely notice them after awhile.

Edit: looks like they're out of stock on amazon right now, they have them at most major retailers.

I use Turtle Beach XO One headphones...I got them for my xbox one, so the cord is supposed to plug into your controller...it is about 3 feet long.

I'm one for loyalty. I can,T really change my Xbox but the headset I bought from Beexcellent was not good enough. Cheaper price yes but not good enough. I returned it and Bought the turtle beach Turtle Beach EAR FORCE XO One - Xbox One a bit more expensive but it comes with the adapter and has mic monitoring. I should be good to go.

Thanks for the suggestion much appreciated.

I just got the Turtle Beach XO One headset. It's great, the sound is clear yet deep, it comes with an adapter if you have an older controller, and was only $60 on Amazon.

Also doesn't have to plug into another source besides the controller, my 360 headset always drove me crazy because it had to be plugged into the controller and another USB device.

u/shivering · 1 pointr/xboxone

Don't get the Xbox One Stereo headset, for $20 more get the Turtle Beach XO One

There's the MS stereo headset for £30: -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Official-Xbox-One-Stereo-Headset/dp/B00I41H6DQ/

I own one of those and for the money I think it's really good. It comes with the headset adapter that plugs into the bottom of your controller.

I've heard good things about this one, for the money, but I have no experience of using it: -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Turtle-Beach-Amplified-Headset/dp/B00KSVXSZU/

That one's a bit more expensive, but it comes with Turtle Beach's version of the headset adapter which has all of the features of the MS headset adapter as well as mic monitoring and adjustable bass boost.

This is the one I use now, although it's £170: -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Astro-Gaming-3AS42-XOU9W-369-Headset-MixAmp/dp/B00O9N404Q

I really like it, although I would say it's a touch overpriced.

u/eutral · 1 pointr/CruciblePlaybook

I use this $55 one

Comes with the adapter for the 3.5mm jack. Adapter has an easy way to adjust game vs voice audio, as well as easily mute. If you ever upgrade, at least you'll still have the adapter.

I've plugged the the headset into my computer and it works great. People always think I have a fancy mic setup.

The mic also detaches so you can use them as normal headphones.

u/Bag0fSwag · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Really wish they had the gun metal available instead of the red, but this is a pretty good deal.

Anyone know if these are worth getting over my current Turtle Beach XOnes?

u/Kyhan · 1 pointr/xboxone

I have this. I managed to get it for a good discount.

The sound quality is fantastic, and it comes with its own adapter. The headset itself is detachable and mostly universal (I often use it with both my computer and smartphone), and while plugged into the controller provides mic-monitoring with almost no delay—you can hear yourself as though you had no headset on.

Also, since the adapter is detachable from the headset, if the headset itself breaks (or you want to upgrade at a later date) you can just buy any new universal headset (such as this, for example) and the adapter should work.

The headset is comfortable for extended periods (within reason—I've had some ear pain after a full day of gaming). I only wish it were over-ear, rather than on-ear. For gaming headsets under $100, I think this is a major contender, and highly recommend it.

[Edit]
Almost forgot: if you just need a pair of headphones, you can detach the mic (it plugs into the left ear with a 3.5mm jack), and they work as a really good pair. My only complaint is that the cable is pretty short in this instance, so don't expect to plug it into your computer and walk away. I'm personally used to a 6-foot wire on my re-wired sennheisers, so unless you're spoiled like me, it shouldn't be a problem.

This one? I don't see anywhere where it says wireless, and the image looks like it is wired?

u/Moonlord_ · 1 pointr/xboxone

The best bang for the buck in that price range would probably be the Turtle Beach XO One imo.

The XO Ones are a bit cheaper but they are a newer model than the XO Four and include the better chat adapter with mic monitoring and bass boost. Aside from the adapter the only real difference between the 2 models is the physical design of the headset itself. Feature wise they both have the 50mm drivers, detachable mic, work with other devices, etc. The XO Ones have a better feature set overall and perform much better than you would expect for their price. Amazon has them on sale right now for only 60 bucks:

http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Amplified-Stereo-Headset-Devices-TBS-2218-01/dp/B00KSVXSZU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1419999662&sr=8-1&keywords=xo+one

I just picked up some wireless ones; the Turtle Beach Earforce XO One's and they're pretty decent.

u/KeyBorgCowboy · 1 pointr/gaming

https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Force-Amplified-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00KSVXSZU/

This is what you need. It also comes with the adapter so you have physical volume controls and a mute button.

u/kabow94 · 1 pointr/headphones

So I just read this post, and was wondering whether there is a headset with a mic, a standard 3.5mm audio jack and a $40 price range that is truly decent all around.

I was looking at this and it seems decent all around, but does anyone know how it really is? And can anyone make other suggestions?

u/Solokingxrobert · 0 pointsr/xboxone

I've just purchased Turtle Beach XO One Amplified Stereo Gaming Headset few weeks ago for £42,99, it's lightweight and it includes an Xbox One turtle beach Headset adapter.

The Elite Pro Tactical Audio Adapter is pretty good, I use the first Edition of it.

Maybe you will find it somewhere, it seems to be out of production.

Edit: The first Edition comes with this Headset in a bundle.

Not to be ride but that Payson headset was horrible for me. The absolute best headphones that I've ever had are these. https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Force-Amplified-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00KSVXSZU.

I use them for my PS4 and with my Xbox one for everything.

> MH751 or MH752

Neither of these CoolerMaster headsets seem to have a removable mic.

Here are some examples of ones which do:

XO Ones are pretty good for a low price. They go on sale relatively often on Amazon. Currently $57.99
