Some non-meds things that have helped me a whole lot:

  • getting a full length foam wedge for under my mattress (like so, pricy but a one time expense and so worth it for me)
  • making my meals much smaller and more frequent and stopping at the first sign of any discomfort (you can always try again later)
  • taking smaller bites of food and chewing for a longer time
  • keeping something minty around and/or drinking peppermint tea a lot or gingery things if you like them (I'm more partial to the coolness of mint)
  • making sure I drink a lot of fluids and electrolytes (but in small frequent sips, I try not to chug liquids)
*making sure I get exercise of some sort at least a couple times a week (I try to move around after I eat too, even just a short walk)
  • digestive bitters like this, this or even some digestif liquors/liqueurs like Fernet-Branca, Branca-Menta, Underberg, various Amaros, Campari, and so forth. Here is some neat research from NIH on bitters: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4446506/ (ctrl+F digestion if you want but it's not very long and pretty informative).

I hope any of these things helps. I also work with my gastro doc and my primary and use medical cannabis, but ultimately for me the biggest improvements have come with the lifestyle adjustments above. I wish you the best of luck!
