You already have one hdmi right on the t480s so you only need one for 2 screens.

I have no recommendations but anything should work so you probably find something on amazon that is like $40 or cheaper.

Congrats for the monitor choice.

To connect the MBP to the monitor i used THIS 50cm cable that works like a charm, really well produced i reccomend it.

To connect the vertical monitor to the ultra-wide one you can use any USB-C to HDMI adapter you like, i used an old one that has some heating problems (too much power draining from the MBP) and some cable issues so i can carry around the "good one" and use it on the go.

If you have to buy one i surely reccomend THIS one (the "good one"), i personally think that the materials and production values are really high compared to the other adapters around the web.

Like other's said, they all work. But I'm using this one by UNI because it matches the colour of my laptop and has the added bonus of being HDMI 2.0, useful if you're connecting 4K displays.

Been a couple comments, i'll put my thoughts and justification now:

I argue the top is DVI to HDMI and bottom is HDMI to DVI because i consider them converting a port to match a cable.
