You could just slap the soft side of some velcro on it, then make a daily ritual of slapping it somewhere obvious (was about to suggest magnets since neodymium magnets kick ass, but that wouldn't be healthy for any credit cards obviously).

I had a thought, for those who would like to attach to your helmet, cap, or anything else it couldn't latch on to. Just purchase some sticky-back velcro (like this), and velcro it anywhere that you couldn't fasten it to before. Still cheaper than a GoPro.
