Look into getting a Wahl five star foil shaver. Use the close or comfort close head
And an Andis t-liner and you will never have to worry about razor bumps.

You're probably not gonna get tight enough with it. If you're gonna do electric, best to bring it down, throw some electric smooth (alcohol rub) on there and then finish it with this
Otherwise, a manual razor is gonna be the way to go.
I clean it thoroughly each time, otherwise no special tricks to it. If you are really itching for an electric, I hear good things about the Wahl shaver a lot of barbershops use, but I have never tried it myself.

I didnt mention it in the original post, I'm looking for a razor to pretty much get rid of stubble every couple days.

But nothing will get as close as a multi-blade razor. After you get used to it a razor will be way faster too.
It only cuts the stubble so if you use it every 5 days it'll never cut the actual mohawk
