I don't actually use a complete python - I just use the "pump" part (the venturi valve you attach to the tap).

Actually, I use this cheap version that does the same job

I then just attach my regular garden hose using Hozelock fittings and these cheap ball valves

I currently just use one hose and manually move it between tanks, but in a previous setup I had hose run to each tank with a splitter, ball valve, and length of hose on each. I could then un-coil the short length of hose above the tank, open the ball valve, and vacuum that tank. Then close the ball valve and move onto the next tank.

You can do a lot with just regular garden hose and basic hose fittings - although if I did it again I'd run PVC between tanks, and then just use an adapter to attach some hose for my python at the other end.

You need air in between the soil and the water level or your plant will drown. It’s kind of hard to explain I guess, but if you google self watering containers, you will get the idea. Or you could just buy something like this Hydrofarm 10 Gallon Self Watering Tomato Trellis Garden on Wheels, Pair | GCTR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017A5W1A4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xVONDb80QA4YC
