yes there is tons of options for lights... i can help you a bit.

where are you from ? whats your main language? if its french i can help explain stuff in french too to make it easier.

option 1: if you want just to get by until next month... maybe T5 would be best option

my guess this would enough... t5 4ftgreat for veg not so great for flowering

option 2: is a 400w hps you can a vented hood if you plan on using in a tent eventually. Better suited for a full grow than T5 if you want to go at it inside. This kit even comes with a MH bulb thats perfect for Veg.

option 3: quantum board (from china or usa/canada $$$). Most expensive option but very efficient and effective. i guess a 240w would be enough.

210$ us shipped + duties from china (alibaba - meijiu) or check out HLG in usa or canada who sell probably slightly better product (pretty much same components) for twice the price. But you get faster shipping and easier communication.

QB 240w or from hlg canada - hlg usa)

First two you can get easily with amazon or your local hydro store... QB board from china is probably 1 or 2 weeks...

maybe a fourth option is a blurple led light... i wouldn't suggest that but its an option that will probably do the job ok and its the cheapest i guess for the 600w

not sure but i think you would need a 900... old technology. not the wattage advertised.

blurple

That's a lot of money for a fan. You could always get a cheaper fan that moves more cfm and simply get a fan silencer. You would still save money at that rate and spend the rest on an enclosed hood or cool tube to help with temperature control.

Overall you're good.

Fan Silencer (out of stock at the moment, but cheaper): http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-VT-FS-6-Muffler-Silencer/dp/B00HWILBSS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225496&sr=8-3&keywords=fan+silencer

Fan silencer (more expensive, but in stock): http://www.amazon.com/Phresh-701200-Silencer-4-Inch-12-Inch/dp/B007ZU5YQS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225496&sr=8-6&keywords=fan+silencer

Hood Upgrade: http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-GLRLS24-Hydroponic-Reflector/dp/B00BMVK8HG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225652&sr=8-1&keywords=air+cooled+hood

Fan and Carbon Scrubber Replacements: http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-VT-IF6-CF6-B-Controller/dp/B0051HDECS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225799&sr=8-1&keywords=ventech+vt+if6

If you're going to be flowering in the tent, I would recommend lightproofing it, as well. Use only the ports in your tent for intake and cut some carbon filters to size. http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Pre-Filter-38002-Activated-Sheets/dp/B00LXIWNT4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225982&sr=8-1&keywords=carbon+filter+sheet

Your tent is a little expensive, too. If that's the one you have your heart set on, go for it. As an alternative, I suggest http://www.amazon.com/MILLIARD-Reflective-Hydroponic-Mylar-Window/dp/B00ETBDX14/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450226158&sr=8-1&keywords=milliard+grow+tent

You will want a fan or two of some kind to circulate air inside the tent. 6 Inch clip fans are popular. I use a pair of 4 inch clip fans and a tower fan.

Make sure to look into a DIY Ona Bucket for smells. During flower it will stink up your room when you open the tent. Just turn the Ona bucket on a little before that and you're good. If you're really paranoid about smell, you can also get an inline carbon scrubber. They're pretty expensive and probably not necessary unless you pick some especially fragrant strains. http://www.amazon.com/Phresh-500-Inline-Filter-6-Inch/dp/B00CJIMUH2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450226390&sr=8-1&keywords=phresh+inline

That's my $.02, anyway. There are much more experienced growers here.

Firsties, I love you. I have seen your comments in many other threads and you have commented on some of mine very thoroughly and informatively. You're beyond awesome!

Onto the plant matters~ That picture is what I found from looking up the specific model lamps I have (here) . My parents have always been very generous so I know they put some money down on it. I have two of those though. From what I read on that page vs this one it seems that people get leaf burn when its below 16"... guess I'll have to try and see. I might just use 2 of those shelves one at the top one at the middle/bottom and space out a lot on the shelving unit.

Last year I got carried away too... but can't help myself, it's fun and worth it :3
(And can always let them go wild and die or prosper on their own if can't handle managing them later)

The 8 weeks tomatoes, 10 peppers is exactly what I was looking for. I use the CES site a lot, but can be hard to navigate and starting seeds indoors seems to be a fluid thing and varies from person to person, so was curious what rules of thumb others use.

The spiral notebook idea is great! Thanks :D (And I know I won't remember. I won't remember a week from planting whats what....)

CES's schedule Looks like I can start planting a few things now outside! (yay beans/onion seeds!) Also looks like none of the cold-crops I have should be started early and transplanted, but preferred to be planted at site (radish/carrots/beans). The schedule I found last time didn't have a differentiation between seeds and transplants, so this one is much more helpful.

Thank you

Just to be clear: I'm a total newbie and haven't grown anything yet. I have simply been lurking about on sites and forums like this to try my best to learn from more experienced growers. I wanna start groing myself as I'm tired of variable quality on product and unsteady supply.

The way I understand it, LEDs are the way to go if I'm gonna build a pretty stealthy closet and at the same time address heating/cooling issues and unnoticeable electricity costs etc etc. But as I'm new to this, it feels a bit stupid to invest in the best and most expensive LEDs out there, although I'm interested in quality products at the same time (yes, kinda obvious...). I'm thinking two RW150s would be "too good" for a newbie like me, so perhaps the MarsHydro Reflector 144 would do it for me (?). It would cover my area nicely, it is prized very reasonably and has received praise and good reviews. What do you think, you know anything about MarsHydro?

Yeah it's a small indoor plant. I ended up getting a few things so I am just gonna experiment. [this LED guy] (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D9HWHY6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) , [one of these t5 lights] (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B018WIOBXS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), and then upon recommendation here got a little desk lamp with some of [these bulbs] (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Philips-60-Watt-Equivalent-T2-Spiral-CFL-Light-Bulb-Daylight-6500K-4-Pack-434399/203248911) so there's something until those kits arrive . I put the bulbs in my regular room light and bulbs are brightening up my house so that was an awesome purchase anyway! Never realized how dark was my house. I feel like I'm plant light loaded for years to come now heh. Thank you a lot for your responses i feel a lot better about my little plant!

Also good luck on your indoor plant lighting too i hope the one you bought works good!

Though I've not seen it personally, I believe Sedum Adolphi in ideal natural undisturbed habitat over time grows somewhat similar to some ivy, creating a dense "plumbing" substrate which starts as the little green stems turn brown, harden, and ultimately expand, increasing water and nutrient storage and transport capacity, as new growth builds on top of this matrix and the organism matures to overshadow all competition. You are just seeing the very beginning of this life cycle.

Know that intense light creates pressure on succulents to stay short and wide, whereas low light pulls them up tall, thin, and sometimes sickly and pale. Light is the real food your plant eats, using it to convert atmospheric carbon dioxide and water pulled from the roots into energy for health and growth.

This sedum, like all plants, can't make light where it doesn't exist and suffers in low light. It depends mostly on red (and some blue) light, which is why it, and all plants, appear green -- the leaves reflect back the light (green) they don't want or need, absorbing the red and blue it uses for photosynthesis.

But in the presence of sufficient or even excess red light, Sedum Adolphi enthusiastically reacts by adjusting its own coloration to reflect back more light in the reddish spectrum as well. This allows it to adapt to varied environments with varied light. The red color is like a shutter on its window to let in just the right amount of light for its internal use. And it looks great doing it.

If you have an etiolated underlit unhappy indoor Sedum Adolphi, it will never glow golden, because it's keeping its shutters wide open trying to savor every photon it can get. Mine didn't live up to their name either until I put them less than 1foot under this (very nice, compact, quiet, cool running, power efficient) 100W/200W Hydrofarm light:

LED lights are fine if you have the budget for them, but if you want to use the entire 5x5 tent, you'd want at minimum, 2 900-watt LEDs (preferrably with 5-watt LEDs for better penetration). Nothing wrong with Mars Hydro. You could always just buy 1 to start, and use only half the tent.

A Single 1000-watt HPS light with a vented hood and 8" fan is what I use in a 5x5 tent with good results.
Ballast: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WAKP4YK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
Hood: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BMVK8HG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
Fan: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GYG39UW?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

You would also need, bulbs (MH for veg., HPS for flowering), hangers, ducting for the vented hood, and optionally a carbon filter if you want to control smell. Also, professional growers typically replace their bulbs every 6 months because they lose that much brightness over time...so you might want to factor that in.

One final note is that LEDs do have the advantage that you can grow taller plants...as they are lower profile, and you don't need the same amount of space between the tops of the flowers and the light.

Oh, and what the LED lights draw from the wall is different from what they are listed as...typically they draw about half the amount they are listed at. So an LED that is listed as 900 watts, is actually using closer to 450-475 watts of electricity. The general rule of thumb for lighting is that you want a 35-50 watts of light power per square foot of canopy (for LEDs, you would use the amount of power actually used for this calculation).

u/hopicide · 4 pointsr/HotPeppers

You should have 32 true/actual watts per square foot. Your current light draws 25W, which means that it's not even enough for a 1x1 tent. Given your grow area of 4 sq ft, you should grab something around 120-150W. Your "possible upgrade" is rated 45W. Granted, it might be of better quality, as in better spectrum, but it's still well short of 120W.

I think you should consider a good light from a trustworthy manufacturer. Here's a comparison of LED grow lights, albeit a bit outdated. Make sure to check the UK section too as it's probably more up to date, I think. For your needs, this might be a good choice (full disclosure, I don't have one nor am I an employee of the manufacturer/seller), which is only $20 more than the one you linked. If you have the money, maybe go directly to the 450W model as it has control for vegetative and flowering lighting.

u/FizixPhun · 1 pointr/succulents

How many plants do you have? If it is just a few, I recommend the easiest and cheapest option, getting one of those reflector lamps with a clamp and a 60 Watt grow bulb. If you want something a little nicer, you could upgrade that to the 2 ft or 4 ft T5 grow lights. You can find these with stands which can be pretty nice. Personally, I don't bother with the LED lights because they are so much more expensive for comparable performance. You could find any of these on Amazon. You could also check craigslist. I have found some great deals of grow lamps through them.

I have a few of each of the following and would recommend them:

https://www.amazon.com/iPower-GLT5XX4-Fluorescent-Premium-Quality-CSA-listed/dp/B018WIOBXS/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1487361891&sr=8-7&keywords=grow%2Blight&th=1

u/Mike_Chisel · 1 pointr/ReefTank

Honestly for that price you could try to find a good deal on a used ati or go with something like this https://www.amazon.com/Hydroplanet-Fluorescent-Included-Horticulture-Gardening/dp/B019J3UPSU/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1536701484&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=t5%2Bho&dpPl=1&dpID=412v4ivZioL&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1
Tidal Gardens did a cool video on these cheaper t5 fixtures and he has a one year update on how they lasted, he uses them in his aquaculture facility https://youtu.be/pUuXiHc89bQ

-the one I posted was just the first I found on amazon but there’s many on amazon and some with lots of reviews to read
I would probably save up about 400 and find a used ati but the amazon t5s are a good budget option.

Thanks for your imput, Im gonna definitely check that out. I was looking at getting 6 of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078B4VJ35/ref=dp_cerb_3?th=1 , A few friends of mine use those CMH lights & swear by them... Im just a little stumped on my best plant of action. Thanks again!

u/Amgessel · 3 pointsr/succulents

I love my T5 lights. I get really great stress colorings with it. No weird smell. I think they would work really well on shelving like you have. I got these, not bad for the price and I can fit almost my whole collection under it. Also came with great hanging clips.

I don't even know where I would go to get a 150w HPS light. Typically when people are purchasing HPS lighting it is to get a lot of efficient light, so purchasing multiple low-wattage HPS lights isn't really what they are intended for, and would just mean multiple ballasts, light timers, etc.

If I were you I would just buy one 600W or 1000W hps light. If you buy the 600 W light you might want to boost it with CFL's but honestly it's really all you need.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005GYRZV2/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=growwcom07-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B005GYRZV2&adid=0F5MX4ASN54J0MW2MKF7
here's the kit I'm using, I love it. Comes with TONS of stuff.

u/jacobiofficial · 1 pointr/Autoflowers

The soil is FoxFarm Ocean Forest.
I've been feeding them general organics lineup for every week. Once a week.
One light is advertised at "600w" but surely it's not able to live up to that for only $90 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078XHHVKZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TF1zCbVM5FMQZ
I'm using that one for the Ak-49 auto and Peppermint Kush.
The viparspectra is being used for the Blue DREAM'MATIC and the Super Lemon Haze https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076JBY3J8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_kJ1zCb1C0NW20
I have the light for the Blue DREAM'MATIC & SLH about 6-8 inches away and it's not burning the plants. The other one is bright so it sits about 10-12 inches away. Once they start flowering, I'll move them up more.

Trying to figure out what under-cabinet lighting would work best for growing herbs in the pictured planter. I clearly don't need anything extremely high-powered and I was wondering if simple LED rope lights like these would work. Thanks!

In total I have;

4x - Apollo 1000Watt Ballast

This is the amazon page, I can provide real photos. Each ballast was used for one vegetation period and then swapped out for non-static causing ballasts. This is only an issue because I was running controller software with Ethernet cables and they were blocking the signal.

4x - 6" hood or air tube w/o lamps These are also Apollo I'm assuming, they were purchased together in kit's you see popular on amazon.
> https://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-GLK1000LS24-Digital-Dimmable/dp/B005ECZVXK/ref=pd_sbs_86_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B005ECZVXK&pd_rd_r=BYJZ0ZQA8ZAKWG80CHDV&pd_rd_w=xx7wb&pd_rd_wg=cRPdr&psc=1&refRID=BYJZ0ZQA8ZAKWG80CHDV

I am referencing this page just to show the Air-tubes. Duct size is 6"

1x - Hydrofarm - Autopilot 4 light

This was never used, and comes with it's original packaging but the packaging isn't in great shape. This required more technical knowledge than I expected.

I'm also fairly certain I have a 6" CFM Pro series inline fan still in box and sealed, I can confirm that later.

I have a general idea of what to expect in terms of pricing, but was hoping someone could make some offers.
thanks for the response.

Oh? these HLG 65 boards are a good deal cheaper, more powerful, run much cooler, and are much easier to install/maintain than a comparable T5.

It pumps out 316PPFD over a 2x2' footprint at 12", and they have ppfd data for 186w of CFLs (8x 23w), which at 12" pumps out only 213PPFD over a 2x2'.

***

The cheapest comparable T5 fixture I could find was this 8 bulb 192w 2' T5 fixture for $130, and the hlg 65 should still pull ahead in PPFD by 30-40% or so.

Then we take into account the 180w of heat that T5 light outputs, versus the 30w from the hlg 65.

Seems like T5s/CFLs still dont make much sense.

u/RoboticAnatomy · 2 pointsr/Bonsai

Hi there!

So I would really like to get into the art of Bonsai. I've been looking at getting a Ficus. The only problem is that it would have to permanently (at least for the foreseeable future) live indoors, as I live in a townhouse complex, without access to a balcony/private yard/fenced in area. I completely understand bonsai don't do well indoors, but with the proper lighting is it doable? I have been looking at lighting from local hydroponic shops and am having trouble picking a light. Would a basic 100 Watt-Equivalent CFL work? Or should I get something a bit fancier like one of these?

250 Watt, 6500K CFL with Reflector

2 Foot, 2 Tube, T5 Fluorescent

60 x 10 Watt LED Grow Light (600 Watt Equivalent)

60 x 10 Watt LED Grow Light (900 Watt Equivalent)

[CFL 13 Watt = 65 Watt Equivalent, 6500K] (https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.cfl-13w--60w-mini-twister-daylight-6500k---case-of-12-bulbs.1000681198.html)

CFL 23 Watt = 100 Watt 2700K

CFL 23 Watt = 100 Watt 6500K

If I were to get Fluorescents I would need a stand of some sort. Would something like this work? Should I change the bulbs to something more powerful?

24 Watt, 6400K, 2 Feet T5

Any of the lights purchased would be kept on an automatic timer indoors. Should the length of the timer be affected by the power of the bulb? Less powerful = More time per day?

u/Xylomain · 1 pointr/cannabiscultivation

I used a Mars 600 in a 3x2x5 ft cabinet with 6 donkey dicks(one fat cola sticks) and it worked great until I had a mold prob. Really humid summer last year! Got about an ounce each(that survived the mold lol). The 300 might be a little weak relative to more expensive models but it'll do fine if you keep it 18 ish inches above your babies and you keep it at 3 or so.

Kind of unrelated I've been looking at Maxsisun 300W LED with dimmer switches on Amazon for $98 as a supplemental light/germination light. Seems OK for the price plus it's got dimmers for both veg and bloom side! Might be worth looking into for that price. Anyone tried it before? I'll link it in edit.

Edit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N45HUOJ/ref=ox_sc_act_image_3?smid=A1AGUPKP8P5NZ7&psc=1

I lied is $98 not $89. Sorry!

Also grammar and some clarifications.

The drawback to vertical farming is a fairly high cost of entry, racks, trays, pumps, drip tubing, the LED grow lights, but once it is paid for, everything grown after is very inexpensive. Vertical Farming is a New Paradigm for agriculture, the first in 10,000 years. One new paradigm is bright yellow light is actually not optimal for vegetation growth. A combination of blue and red LED can result in 4 times the growth rate, 4 crops in the time of 1 in the ground outside under the yellow-green Sun. This is a 5 meter strip for $30. Two strips down 5 meters of trays is enough grow light for one section.

More light for certain. At first it was on a north facing balcony, then under one of those $20 grow lights with a bendable neck. Also more water. I was only watering my succulents once a month (and like every other month before I started actively caring for them). I water him every two weeks through winter. I think I’m keeping this guy indoors under the lights through summer, so we’ll play watering by ear.

If you are open to HPS I'd say go for it. You will get better yields and happier plants for the money. You can get a 600 watt HPS cool tube setup for $170. I have two Mars 600s for flower and am thinking of changing up to HPS, I use metal halide for veg.

I would say just about any T5 reflector will work, I would focus on the bulbs although you can buy a kit online like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019J3UPRG/ref=sspa_dk_detail_2?pd_rd_i=B019J3UPUS&pd_rd_wg=c1mlV&pd_rd_r=SZXT3KMQBD4J9EEE2Q8E&pd_rd_w=q2pWN&th=1 with Apollo Horticulture 2 FT 6400K T5 Fluorescent Grow Light Bulbs. However that is really only used for my mother, clones and seedlings. If you are using the same grow space to flower in as you are for your babies, then just invest in a switchable light source like a MH/HPS switchable ballast or a dual purposed LED that will last the whole cycle like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HI1BTFI/ref=sspa_dk_detail_9?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B01HI1BTFI&pd_rd_wg=4Sjdw&pd_rd_r=8XFNFX7T3SW3R5RWT1J5&pd_rd_w=9VpWj

This is my Mother Im currently training to cut clones from in the future. She's spent her whole life so far under just 2 of those Apollo's. https://imgur.com/eIXmu4n. To be fair though the light was just raised so I can get her to stretch, the light is usually only ~6-8inch's above the canopy since fluorescent's don't pull out very much heat. An I will be adding an additional light since she is getting bigger now.

Edit: I am in no way recommending one brand over another or where to purchase. Im only using the sites and products as examples.

It's advertised as 400w, it draws 200w, idk where my link is taking you haha, the one I'm talking about is "Roleadro 400W COB Full Spectrum 2nd Gen".

I have not used this one but I've owned galaxyhydros(same company) and marshydros, those are the ones advertised as 300 but draw about 130w, COBs are generally more efficient. However a relative of mine has been rocking these for about year and a half without issues.

u/TeethAreOutsideBones · 1 pointr/Autoflowers

Usually you will need to look at the questions and find where the manufacture answer the actual wattage.
You'll probably be better off going with two lights instead of one so you can move them around for better light distribution.

For my similar setup, I have two [GalaxyHydro 300 (145 actual)] (https://www.amazon.com/Galaxyhydro-Greenhouse-Indoor-Hydroponic-Lighting/dp/B00PH1MQV8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1485533547&sr=8-2&keywords=galaxyhydro+led). However after what I have been reading on here If I did it all over I would have gotten a single [MarsHydro like this] (https://www.amazon.com/MarsHdyro-Reflector144-Hydroponic-Greenhouse-Spectrum/dp/B00XBYHOTC/ref=sr_1_4?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1485533640&sr=1-4&keywords=mars+hydro) instead. I go with LED because I sometimes need to be away for a couple days at a time and knowing that I can place my hand on the LED and not get burned helps me feel comfortable knowing I won't torch my plants on accident.

So. I could put a cooling tube http://www.amazon.ca/Apollo-Horticulture-GLK600CT24E-Digital-Dimmable/dp/B00521B894/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1427552022&sr=8-3&keywords=600+watt+hps run it horizontally (front to back) with the booster fan only for the tube. CMH are great. It will run a little hotter, but that light is almost enough to flower your entire tent. I'd still run the Phlizon to expand your light coverage as long as temps are in check.

The one you linked ships from China and could take a while to arrive. I'd go with this one instead.

I just bought this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ECZVXK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and might start off at like 750 in my 4x4 just to see how the temps hold. Seems like a nobrainer just to spend the extra 30 or whatever and just get the 1000W. Not sure why anyone would direct you otherwise especially if there's even the slightest possibility you want to upgrade down the road.

u/KCosmo · 5 pointsr/succulents

You don't need to spend anywhere near that. Just look for some 6500k compact florescent bulbs and use any desk or clamp lamp. That should be fine for the amount of plants you have. Just keep it about 6 inches from them.

If you want to go bigger you could invest in an overhead T5 fixture like this and spend 70ish.

u/SucculentsQueen · 2 pointsr/succulents

But one took a shit and a few of my friends are getting better yields with hps. The heat is easy to manage if it gets too hot I can exhaust it outside.

u/daisy1975 · 6 pointsr/succulents

If you can't hang lights from the ceiling I think this is a good option especially if you have a lot of plants. I found it through this post

u/mj1176 · 10 pointsr/microgrowery

That might just be the shittiest LED panel I've ever seen as far as actual wattage vs claimed. It claims 2000 watts but actually draws around 390w from the wall. total bullshit. If I were looking in that price range and wanted to buy pre-made I'd go with this 800w (actual draw ~400w) one. It says it wont ship for a couple months but it'll be back in stock way sooner than that. A similar mars hydro or vipar spectra would be fine too. Just for the love of god don't buy the one you linked.

Also, your tent is a 2'x4'x5'. You're not gonna be able to run 5-7 flowering plants in there. Maybe 4.

I can't find the apollo light fixtures on amazon currently but this one is similar. Chalk it up to Amazon.ca being hit and miss with supplies/prices sometimes but the apollo's should reappear in the future. 600w hps with a fan and filter. you're going to want a fan and filter regardless of the lights you use, and the 600 hps will beat those two panels at a fraction of the cost. just duct the exhausted air out of a window and you won't be running much hotter than the leds.
if you're dead-set on led, look into cobs or go with a couple cheaper panels imo. maybe a couple of these. the ones you linked are really expensive and aren't going to be enough light for that 4x4 tent.

u/77Tango · 3 pointsr/succulents

Unless you are going to buy several, its not big enough for more than 1 or 2, much less your entire collection of 10-12.
If yours are larger plants, and/or you think you'll be getting more, I would make sure to get one thats larger. I started with a 2-bulb T5 setup, below, but moved to a 4-bulb LED encasement, using the stand from the first one to hang it.
Whatever you choose, there are inexpensive options out there, so don't feel like you have to pay for over-priced LEDs panels, unless of course you don't mind it.
