Start small. It'll save you money, let you get your feet wet, and help you learn how to grow better, and then you can buy bigger.

My "starter package" is:

  • A 2' x 2' x 3' grow tent - $55.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SWGYYWO

  • A grow light ($90). I prefer COB's as they're easier to fix than blurples.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I4NY8KW

  • A power strip zip-tied to a pole in the tent. Makes wiring prettier and easier. ($24) I chose a nice metal one, but you can use a cheaper one.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F8ZQYHA

  • Hangers to hold the light ($8)
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0098R0600

  • A fan and filter ($70), and variac ($90) to filter smell and move air to keep things cool. This combo is overkill for this tent, but I ended up using it on later tents so it's a good long-term investment. You can cobble something cheaper together with some work, but this "just works" out of the box.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Q2ER5C/
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006NGI8VS

  • 5 gallon Smart Pot ($7) for growing, FoxFarm Ocean Forest Soil ($16.50), Plant saucer ($7) for growing. You can save some money here by shopping around. In particular, Amazon's price for FFOF is about double what I pay at the (very expensive) local "indoor gardening" center.
    https://www.amazon.com/Smart-Pots-5-Gallon-Soft-Sided-Container/dp/B002JUOWB2
    https://www.amazon.com/FoxFarm-FX14053-12-Quart-Organic-Potting/dp/B001I49Q98
    https://www.lowes.com/pd/Garden-Treasures-15-31-in-Rust-Plastic-Plant-Saucer/50445000

  • Go Box Plant Nutrients. This should last you several grows.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PS4B08

  • Seed of your choice (let's say $10).

So for about $420 (heh), you can get your foot in the door and start growing. This is a nice setup too, you can probably save $100 by shopping around, buying used, or doing-it-yourself. I've left off a few odds and ends like dryer duct, Fiskers for trimming, weed fabric pins for low-stress training, pitcher for watering, Mason jars for storage, but you can likely find those or suitable replacements around the house without spending money.

I also have a Raspberry Pi 3 ($43) with Sense Hat ($37) and metal case ($15) in each of my grow tents to log temperature/humidity and other things. I'm interested in eventually using the GPIO functionality to water my plants too. Not critical, but definitely a nice thing to have, especially if you're the hacker type. If you go this route, you might look at raspiviv.com too.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C6FFNY4
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014HDG74S
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0722L338Q

I'm glad I bought a good intro setup because I still use it now that I've upgraded. I now have a 3' x 3' GG Shorty tent with HLG 300 LED for flower, a 2' x 2.5' GG Shorty tent with two 400W Roleadro COB's for veg, and my "intro package" is now my germination/cloning tent (and drying tent too since several people suggested that too). Being able to have three tents (germination -> veg -> flower) working simultaneously is increasing my output quite sharply. I'm doing this to help a relative with cancer, so you may not need to go quite as crazy as I did.

You mentioned using 35+ gs (~1.25 oz) a month. You probably aren't going to be able to grow that much given the constraints of tent size and light wattage (plus being a first-time grower! You'll learn a lot!). So once you get used to it, you'll probably want to buy more stuff. Marijuana isn't addictive, but growing marijuana absolutely is.

Once you've got your hardware, the variable cost is seed (~$10), soil (~$5), nutrients (~$20), and electricity (~$30). From that, I'm going to estimate you can grow ~1.5 ozs (you can do more as you learn more though). So you're looking at ~$40/oz after you've made the initial hardware investment.

Hope this helps. Depression, cancer, and everything else can just go suck it.

I'll try to answer these as best as I can.

  1. I can't really recommend anything for the Volt since I haven't had to put any issues with lumbar support in it, but for another car I had issues with I decided to use my Purple seat cushion. I would presume anything that is much cheaper could work though.
  2. It depends on how much extra driving you might do during the day. Aside from work, do you need pick up kids from sports/go out to eat for dinner/go to a friends house across town? If you want to use the battery as much as possible then a 240v charger might be perfect since you can get a quick charge before running extra errands. With the 2018 you can also add something like this which will allow you to plug in to a 240v using your stock EVSE.
  3. We're actually in the process of this now! The company I work for has several people who drive PHEVs and BEVs so we have been suggesting for a long time that they should install EV chargers onsite rather than having all of us clamor over a few 120v outlets. Since we are building a new building on our campus they decided to include 8 EV chargers in the parking garage free to use. I definitely think that more voices would be more incentive for your company to install a few chargers. This is all still a fairly new technology so getting others informed is the best way to go!

That's a lot of money for a fan. You could always get a cheaper fan that moves more cfm and simply get a fan silencer. You would still save money at that rate and spend the rest on an enclosed hood or cool tube to help with temperature control.

Overall you're good.

Fan Silencer (out of stock at the moment, but cheaper): http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-VT-FS-6-Muffler-Silencer/dp/B00HWILBSS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225496&sr=8-3&keywords=fan+silencer

Fan silencer (more expensive, but in stock): http://www.amazon.com/Phresh-701200-Silencer-4-Inch-12-Inch/dp/B007ZU5YQS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225496&sr=8-6&keywords=fan+silencer

Hood Upgrade: http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-GLRLS24-Hydroponic-Reflector/dp/B00BMVK8HG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225652&sr=8-1&keywords=air+cooled+hood

Fan and Carbon Scrubber Replacements: http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-VT-IF6-CF6-B-Controller/dp/B0051HDECS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225799&sr=8-1&keywords=ventech+vt+if6

If you're going to be flowering in the tent, I would recommend lightproofing it, as well. Use only the ports in your tent for intake and cut some carbon filters to size. http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Pre-Filter-38002-Activated-Sheets/dp/B00LXIWNT4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450225982&sr=8-1&keywords=carbon+filter+sheet

Your tent is a little expensive, too. If that's the one you have your heart set on, go for it. As an alternative, I suggest http://www.amazon.com/MILLIARD-Reflective-Hydroponic-Mylar-Window/dp/B00ETBDX14/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450226158&sr=8-1&keywords=milliard+grow+tent

You will want a fan or two of some kind to circulate air inside the tent. 6 Inch clip fans are popular. I use a pair of 4 inch clip fans and a tower fan.

Make sure to look into a DIY Ona Bucket for smells. During flower it will stink up your room when you open the tent. Just turn the Ona bucket on a little before that and you're good. If you're really paranoid about smell, you can also get an inline carbon scrubber. They're pretty expensive and probably not necessary unless you pick some especially fragrant strains. http://www.amazon.com/Phresh-500-Inline-Filter-6-Inch/dp/B00CJIMUH2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450226390&sr=8-1&keywords=phresh+inline

That's my $.02, anyway. There are much more experienced growers here.

u/Ticem4n · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

I recommend amazon for your items you won't need to rebuy. Like your light is 1 2ft bulb, but at walmart i can get 2 4ft ones for around 30-35$. If it isn't a digital timer it isnt for you, you can get a digital off amazon for about $12. Barneys farm I have seen bigger time growers use it so I say that 1 is a good start. Soil, you do not want miracle grow the soil does not allow any plant optimal grow. Just think of it like this...do you really want your paper towel company (Scotts) in chargr of your plants life? Again amazon should have some soils if you look, you want something with at least perlite as that will help your ph stay balanced. Spray bottle and extension and a rotating fan for circulation not a direct plant windtunnel and you are good to go. If you can stretch it I would also get at LEAST a 5 gallon fabric pot. In a plastic bucket only allows air intake and outtake via the top, these give a little more breathing room for not much more than a normal 5 gal bucket.

Here a tent id recommend more, more room 60% of the price. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00RW2V8J6/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1484057021&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=grow+tent+4x4&dpPl=1&dpID=31f9nnGryNL&ref=plSrch

Personally I like soil. Easier to diagnose and remedy in my opinion. Can't cheap out on the soil though. Fox farm gives good results and can be found at almost every nursery or online.

If you can squeeze any extra money out I'd put it into the lights.

Also check the side bar and all this stuff can be found in there. I just smoked so I'm feeling especially helpful lol.

Anyway remember it's a weed and will grow you just have to have the patience to let it. Also remember to have fun.

Good places to start.

That was extremely helpful! Thank you! Right now I have about 4 plants in red solo cups outside in FFOF soil. I've fed them some Fox Farms Big Bloom Nutes and they seem to be loving it. Right now I'm at about 12 days in.

For whatever reason this tent is no longer available. I'm hoping I can find a similar sized one. Is this the one you used?

Also, if you could link me to the fan and carbon filter you used, that would be awesome.

I will be transplanting the plants from the solo cups into 1 gallon pots for now. I am simply doing this for practice to see what its like and how they handle the FFOF and the nutes.

I plan on growing indoors with the supplies you mentioned within the next month or so.

Thanks for the scrog screen advice; I'll have to use that. I may decide to focus on auto flowers though because of their low height and may implement LST.

Edit: What do you think of this size tent?

u/LazyGrower · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

How much can you comfortably lift? I found 5-gallon pots weighed a ton for me (small person).

If I was you I would look into doing a perpetual auto-grow in a 2x4 tent with LED. Perpetual is more efficient than doing a bunch at a time and starting over again. You could cycle 3 or 4 through there.

By doing it perpetual each new plant is a new grow for you. So you will have learned things from the previous plant you harvested. Keep going until you have the stockpile you need.

Now you may find that OMG you love growing and the 2x4 tent is enough to feed your weed and growing needs. If not get a bigger tent and light set up with the money you saved on weed. You will never say I wish I had less tents.

I have a Generic tent, a Gorilla tent, and a Milliard tent. my 2x4 is the Gorilla Shorty (this is the tent I am taking to the old age home when the time comes so I got a good one). It is also my veg tent so I want the least amount of light leaks so it doesn't screw up my cheapo Generic 4x4 flowering tent.

My teeny-tiny Milliard tent is very well made for a cheap tent. They have a 2x4x5 that is $67.00.

Get LED lights. There is more upfront cost but if you use MH/HPS you will use more electricity and you may have to use additional fans (I run 2 inline and one circulating in my 4x4).

If you do go MH/HPS then get a Purple Reign ballast (you can use bulbs in it from 400 to 1000W) and any hood that has the glass drop-down vs slide out. Slide out sucks balls.

And get the metal duct tape not the regular duck tap. Much more useful.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I just asked a similiar question not long ago and looked at many premade kits, I feel like I got a way better setup doing it somewhat separately, I looked at stuff like this https://www.amazon.com/BloomGrow-Reflective-Ducting-Hydroponic-24X24X48/dp/B0757YRKW7/ref=sr_1_49?m=AOALYYYVUG1U0&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&qid=1561412214&s=merchant-items&sr=1-49&th=1 , and eventually purchased this stuff, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019ETLC7M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 160$ actual wattage is like 250-275 ish

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B3LG55T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 120$

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PJ4VWF7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 70$

It is like 75-100 more expensive but I felt like it was a huge jump in quality for the money invested. Thanks to the people who advised me to buy not as a complete kit.

This is my setup, my fan is coming in today and my seedlings sprouted this morning. I did quite a bit of research and The light is a little underpowered but I was on a pretty tight budget and can always add more light later.
I spent $40 on seeds and super soil mix from Mephisto genetics, going a more organic route and won't require nutes.
I also spent about $30 on peat moss, perlite, and compost. I already had some ducting and pots.

Hey Guys.

As my first grow ever, I had 3 seedlings germinate after planting on April 5th into my AeroGarden 6. Here is a progress picture from about 3 days ago.

As you can see, my guy on the left is really taking off, but my other two have kind of stalled. Should I be worried about that?

I hear I can wait about another week until transplant. Would then be a good time to move them into 5 gallon pots? I am also laxing behind on my equipment. I’ve been scoping this tent and this light off of Amazon. Would you guys recommend? Any other recommendations for ventilation? Working a bit on a budget.

Also, I checked all 3 of them, and they have mainly just one long root as seen here. Should that be concerning?

Appreciate any info, and sorry for the noob questions. Happy growing!

Honestly, you are much better off grabbing everything from amazon and save over 500 dollars. I bought these before:

Tent (200 with taxes and shipping): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H9P51LW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Lights (300 with taxes and shipping):
http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-GLK1000LS24-Digital-Dimmable/dp/B005ECZVXK/ref=sr_1_1?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1407976749&sr=1-1&keywords=1000+watt+grow+light+system

And then you have money for two fans:
http://www.amazon.com/LEDwholesalers-GYO2402-6-Inch-Hydroponic-Booster/dp/B003YFADW8/ref=sr_1_18?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1407976749&sr=1-18&keywords=1000+watt+grow+light+system

And a carbon filter (this one comes with a fan, so you only need another fan to bring air inside the tent:
http://www.amazon.com/VenTech-IF6CF620-Inline-Virgin-Charcoal/dp/B0052ZPMAG/ref=sr_1_10?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1407976749&sr=1-10&keywords=1000+watt+grow+light+system

I never bought a hydroponics system before, but amazon search yields some good systems for less than 700:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_10?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ebb%20hydroponic&sprefix=ebb+hydrop%2Caps%2C227&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aebb%20hydroponic

If you buy the system you describe, you might still need a tent or at least a carbon filter. I think you end up saving yourself money and you can get exactly what you need and add extra lights, etc as you move forward.

u/MoistAsscheeks · 5 pointsr/microgrowery

I don't want to be that guy, but you could do a grow tent in your closet. Something like this, maybe?
http://www.amazon.com/36x20x62-Grow-Hydroponic-Gyosupply-Gyo-1001/dp/B004YXDS9Y/ref=sr_1_25?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1416306068&sr=1-25

36"x20", so it should fit in there well enough. I think a solid black grow tent like this would be less sketchy than a large metal cabinet.

Also, the metal cabinet might not play nice with heat. Just my $0.02.

u/Gyneslayer · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

Dude if you have 500 hundred to spend then for sure let me get some links for you. USA?
If you are doing Hydro get these depending on how many plants.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001ID8CMG?cache=b02ac130835d7b965f599083ad59fbb1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&qid=1405441345&sr=8-8#ref=mp_s_a_1_8

Then a good tent for around 100

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E6CZPJO?cache=b02ac130835d7b965f599083ad59fbb1&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1405441502&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

Depending on what lighting you want I would do anywhere from 400-600w light that can do mh and hps light. (mh for vegetation and hps for flowering)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00547I5I8?cache=b02ac130835d7b965f599083ad59fbb1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&qid=1405441940&sr=8-8#ref=mp_s_a_1_8

After that you will need fans definitely for the lighting, a fan for your plants and then grow nutrients.
This is to give you an idea the big 3 is your base either soil or Hydro, the lighting which is expensive and the tent.

Goodluck!

What do you mean? Just the tent?

CoolGrows 48"x48"x80" Indoor Mylar Hydroponics Grow Tent https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GCHXUXI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_jFMSBbJ3TH5Q5

It's on the cheaper side of tents but it's great. I'd recommend it to anyone.

u/DevIceMan · 2 pointsr/hydro

I have a similar grow tent & love it! Highly recommend a grow tend for indoor grows.

I bought this 4x8-ft tent, but at around $175.

For cheap, you can always use reflective mylar., but the grow tent is SO much nicer.

u/D_tuned · 1 pointr/microgrowery

If you wanna spend a bunch of money, northern lights makes some sick boxes. Fully automated everything. Can get very expensive though.

https://www.bcnorthernlights.com/products/the-bloombox/

Or you could use a tent from Amazon, there some decent ones on there, just read the reviews.

Last option is finding a closet in your house you don't wanna use anymore, but some reflective mylar on Amazon (it's like 40$ CAD/roll) and line your closet with it. I did a similar thing to my front entrance of my house that I never use. That's probably the cheapest but most labor intensive option. I'd personally recommend the grow tent. I just ordered one myself this ones probably more space than you want to use, but they make smaller ones as well.

Small tent, good quality, minor light leak on the zipper. No longer available but posted it to give feedback on cheap tents vs the 100$+ ones. Personally I think they all come from the same place.

u/streamer0194 · 1 pointr/microgrowery

Awesome. I'm also in Canada so here are a few Amazon links for ya:

Tent (or something similar) A lot of people suggest staying away from Vivosun but as far as tents go, it's pretty much all the same for the lower price range.

Exhaust + Carbon filter (or similar, and you will need a few feet at least of flexible ducting to hook it all up, should be cheap at a hardware store or on Amazon as well)

2 Clip-on Fans

and you're still left with a couple hundred bucks for AC if needed

This is the one in the pic...it actually feels like it is decent quality. I should be able to use the growing tent ducts and filter as well since I can't duct it outside :)

u/yetbutno · 1 pointr/microgrowery

security is no issue. its just that im not how certain my grow tent protects against light leaks.

I'm using this grow tent and on the sides there are flaps that cant be zipped up and im pretty sure a little bit of light can still get through. do you know if its significant enough to do any dmg/hermie a plant?

2. I personally dont use an intake fan, just leave the mesh openings and Duct openings on the bottom open.

3. refer to Autonomous incoming reply.

4. I'm using an APC 7900 switched PDU i got off ebay for $85

5. I'm using this fan ( https://www.amazon.com/VIVOSUN-Inline-Variable-Controller-Ventilation/dp/B01DXYMJ94/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1518212723&sr=8-4&keywords=vivosun+6%22 ) Plus side is this fan is indeed quiet and runs at 60watts for me.

6. I've got a blower style fan circulating the air inside i had this fan before the tent so i just used it ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E1LYHTE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) .
Still considering getting another Vivosun 6" as intake with a carbon filter just to eliminate dust on cards and making maintenance easier

7. Tent i use 48 x 24 x 84 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WMBQZ90/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Shiny mylar works better than mirrors, plus is a lot easier to duct tape into position, plus won't dangerously and unexpectedly reflect the sun into someone's eyes.

u/BrindlePig808 · 1 pointr/bonnaroo

I have a 10' x 20', but 10 x 10 would be fine. We have cots and a piece of old carpet for floor. I bought a whole roll of that reflective film from the greenhouse section on Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/CAP-mil-Mylar-Reflective-Film/dp/B0001WW40Q) and made a big reflective shield. We drape that on the west side/top (Note sun rises at about 60 degrees at Roo - use a smartphone compass app to set up the first night). This also keeps out the light in the morning. We take it down when we get up so as to not screw our neighbor. I also made a small piece that I loan to them to keep my reflection from heating them up worse. We leave the side by the car open. Then we take duct tape a pull the bottoms of the tarp "walls" up under the cots and tape it to them. That way the air flows. The tent can't get very hot if the air keeps moving. The side by the road/walkway stay down to the ground.
.
That extra 2.5 - 3 hours of sleep is nice because we like to do late-night to the very end.

The cheap PH pens are really risky, I'd recommend getting some liquid tester to double check your readings or get a more reputable brand like Bluelab or Hanna.

Everyone I know that starts growing catches the bug and wants to have another few plants going while they wait on their first harvest to ripen. On that note, you might want to check out the perpetual harvest tents.

u/HighFawks · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

I got this one and love it:

Main compartment is 3'x3' which is a little smaller than you wanted. But makes up for it with the side upper and lower compartment.

I have a germination area/veg area in the side, and veg/flower spot in the main compartment. Allows me to always have the next plants ready to flower shortly after i harvest.

Wanted to check in with the knowledgeable folks here just to make sure everything looks right. First grow so this is somewhat basic. Plan to go bigger and upgrade to some better stuff next grow or so. This was planted from a bag seed I found. Planted on Nov 5 into a coco expanding puck. Transplanted as soon as it sprouted (puck and all). Still can't tell if female or male, but if it's male I've learned a ton so I'm not too worried.

Current set up is:

Honestly, you can do much better for your money... There are kits in the Starter Shopping Lists to the right on the sidebar.

I was wondering the other day what exactly I would need for a turn-key grow setup, and put the following together. Mind you, this is not TOP of the line shit, but it will absolutely get you into the hobby!

600W Tube / Timer / MH & HPS Bulbs / Hangars / Ballast - $157.50

6 Inch Carbon Filter / 440CFM Fan - $149.75

25 Ft. 6 Inch Ducting - $19.10

48 x 48 x 78 Tent - $139.99

FFOF - $18.99

General Hydroponics Go Box Starter Kit - $35.95

CALIBER IV DIGITAL HYGROMETER - $19.23

Smart Pot Container - Pack of Five - $20.65

Micro-Tip Pruning Snip - $10.19

Light Duty Soft Wire Tie - $7.84

PH & Temperature Meter - $79.95

Water Quality TDS Tester - $15.59

LED Handheld Microscope - $16.81

Total just under 700$ and you are getting a LOT more for your money.

Don't blindly take that list, shop around, deal hunt, and do the research! There are many hidden costs associated with growing ><

u/Maristic · 1 pointr/BoltEV

Lots of owners do this. Amazon sells various adapters for this purpose, including this one and this one.

I agree that it's off-label use, but there has been pretty significant research into it (see this album). It's also basically the same board that's in the Amazing-e (a UL-listed 240V charger), as shown in this video.

One thing that is abundantly clear is that the adapter is fairly explicitly designed for US-style 240V use. Specifically, it has a check-light for wiring faults, and it absolutely could check that there is negligible potential difference between “neutral” and ground. It does not, because adding such a check would break US 240-volt use (while still being fine in Europe on non-split-phase power).

It's not illegal, and I think if you somehow did burn your house down, it would probably be seen as no more negligent than various other kinds of foolishness that result in the same outcome.

Edit: Add video link.

It's just a 2x4x6, Quictent 48"x24"x84" to be exact. I don't really recommend this tent, but it's what I've got right now. There's some light leaks and poor stitching I had to cover up.

It was originally meant for iPower 48"x48"x78" but I had to downsize for some space reasons.

I've been slowly upgrading where I can between grows, so the initial investment didn't hit me as hard. But if you can afford it, I would recommend getting higher quality material the first time around and saving your money long term. I've got 2x Blurple VIPARSPECTRA Reflector-Series V600 600W, that old 4x4 grow tent, and that old fan+filter combo all collecting dust -- essentially an entire grow setup.

I'm now using an HLG-600H Quantum Board (dimmed), that 2x4x6 tent, and the filter+fan combo I posted above.

Also, my fan is probably overkill for my current setup, so I did the math for the CFMs needed for my tent and used a Variable Fan/Router Speed Controller to turn it down a bit. Not sure if I'd completely recommend that controller, but it's just what I've got.

Burnt the ladies a tad with their last carbo load 3 days ago. Gave them some Bud Candy and Sucanat at 1tsp per gallon each on day 45f.

Also stopped giving protect and lowered CaMg+ down to 2.5ml per gallon.

Starting to see some fade on the lower leaves.

A few companies carry this. Picked up this one last winter. It doesn't do well as a two chamber tent--there's just too much light leak to actually veg on one side and flower on the other. But if you take the middle divider out, it's a great little 3x2.

u/Frozen_Tony · 2 pointsr/labrats

Here's the grow tent housing also just so you can get the plan https://www.amazon.com/Hydroponic-Obeservation-Window-Indoor-Growing/dp/B076Q5Q61N

Serves a dual purpose of blocking room lighting changes as to not disturb the camera exposure and gain.

u/entrpn · 1 pointr/microgrowery

If you are going full stealth, I think it will be hard to find a fan that doesn't make any noise (or barely makes noise).

I own 2 of those fans I sent you the link to and put them inside this tent and it keeps things cool enough. In the winter time I only need to run one of those in the exhaust fan.

Here is another option. These fans are AC powered so you just need to plug them into an outlet. They have lower decibel noise but also bring only half the CFM.
