Get used to the car would be my first recommendation followed by maybe a 2s 30c 5000mah battery and charger to support a lipo battery.

After that replace what you broke with better parts or upgrade if you feel it is too slow/sluggish.

I wouldn't worry too much about the tires just yet, wait until you get some experience to really know what the tires are/aren't doing that you do or don't like. pro line trenchers are great monster truck tires, but you may not want monster truck tires....tires/wheels go along with what you want to accomplish...if you don't know yet, leave it stock, wheel/tire combos can get expensive esp when you don't know/aren't sure.

Oh and congrats on settling on a car. Understand this is a beginner car, great for you to learn on and see where you want to go. I wouldn't put a lot of money into it, tbh, just learn. I can get you uncontrollably fast if that is where you want it to be but it will cost more than the car is worth (between bullet proofing and upgrading the motor/esc).

Get a good set of tools, I got one of these to start with and it works for most cars...A lot of people don't like the interchangeable drivers and go for the solid driver kits.

It's is really great. Careful with the hip joints. Hit em with some heat and then put a drop of this in there. Keeps them from catching but doesn't make them loose. Love these figures.

I use one I've fallen in love with ( and I've gone through a LOT of oils over the years) called Liberty Oil.

It's widely used by watchmakers and clock repair techs. Also used in RC cars.

Perfect viscosity and lasts forever.

EDIT: I meant the BOTTLE lasts, not the OIL lasts ... The oil does last a long time between applications, but this is OIL people, it will need reapplication from time to time.

Doesn't get gummy from time & heat either.

I'm new to lubing cubes, and so I got my feet wet by buying the cheapest all-silicone oil on Amazon I could find, this 1666 Traxxas oil.

How would this stuff compare to other brands? My cubes feel smoother with it, but they also are a little sluggish.

I have a DaYan Zanchi and a FangShi shuanren that I'd like to relube. My times are 60-90 seconds, usually. What would y'all recommend? EDIT: I meant to ask... what lube should I get instead of this stuff?

It's the exact same viscosity as Lubicle Silk (350 cst). Silk is just dyed green and scented

Look for 100% silicone based spray, it should be fine.

Alternatively, hobby stores carry silicone shock oil for RC cars or airsoft guns in various weights. Something between 20-30wt works great on cubes; this is the kind I have.

I read here that traxxas silicone shock oil works pretty well too.

Unless the valves are leaking, then you just need some silicone oil on the valve, charge it with gas, and that should fix it.

I would recommend this oil because it's pure silicone oil, and doesn't have a petroleum based propellant which will degrade your rubber parts over time (6 months and you'll see some effects) 30wt is perfect for GBB guns as it's not too thick to impede blowback when you oil the slide, but it's not too thin that you need to lube it constantly.

So, my 51 has started squeeking a little bit when flipping. So i figured i'd have to apply some oil or other lubrication to the pivots.
Which oil/lubrication do you guys suggest?

Try some medium viscosity silicone shock oil for RC cars, should give a similar effect to something like the coconut oil without going rancid.

The best way to fix tight or squeaky joints is 100% pure 80 weight silicone gel, also known as 80w shock oil. It's called that because it's used in the shocks for rc cars. Make sure it's not just shock oil, but that it matches the rest of the description.

I'm not sure about in Brazil, but rc hobbyshops in the USA sell it for under $10 a bottle. You can also find it online, and here's a listing for it at Amazon.

A small amount can last a long time, because to use it you just need a tiny drop on the end of a toothpick. Use a toothpick, rather than a brush, because the brush will soak up more of the gel. Get a very small drop, drip it into the joint, and work the joint around.

Silicone shock oil. Just a little bit in the area you're wanting to loosen. Have used this stuff on my Articulated Icons ninjas.
