I recommend using adapters for the DisplayPort. There are a lot of DisplayPort to VGA adapters available on Amazon for around 10 bucks. It's the one that looks a bit like HDMI but only has one corner notch. Most of these GPUs have one or two alongside the HDMI.

The 1050Ti cards don't have a VGA port or a DVI-I port that can be adapted to VGA with a passive adapter. There are active adapters available that would work on a DVI/HDMI/DP port.

I recommend one for HDMI or DP because some of the DVI ones are passive style for DVI-I ports:

You see the thunderbolt logo above the small port? That’s a Thunderbolt port that can be used to connect an external monitor with a Mini DisplayPort adapter. This mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter from Amazon basics range will do the trick or if you have a HDMI port you can use this Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.

Cable slot shouldnt get worn out that much.

They also make a DisplayPort to VGA adapter so you dont have to keep swapping them.

Definitely a DisplayPort . All you need is a VGA adapter. They also make HDMI and DVI adapters should you need better picture quality and your monitor supports it.

Thank you for this. I am working on it right now and this is the adapter that I am using. I dont think it is working properly because it still doesnt work if I connect it straight to the computer without the dock. I'm just going to order another and hope that is what my problem is.

Thanks again!
