Aw darn. I had the same problem before, but I found a way around it with my Mac. If you get desperate, you can grab an HDMI cable and one of these guys and hook it up to your TV that way, and play media with VLC. It works nicely for me actually, and everything is full resaloution. Only downside is that you don't have a lot of remote functionality and have to control it through your laptop/computer.

I hope this helps!

I use a thunderbolt to hdmi converter for this ([Link] (http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Mini-DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-Adapter/dp/B00C28L51G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1410224897&sr=8-2&keywords=thunderbolt+cable+to+hdmi)) but my 2011 mpb doesn't have an hdmi output. I can't possibly imagine the hdmi output directly to your tv not working. i mean that's why it exists, right? Have you played around with the display options?

I own and have used both this cable and this adapter for my SP3 and both worked as I expected them to. For what it is worth they work with my MacBook Pro as well.

I bought a brand new one but wouldn't have any issues going with a refurb...you may have some physical blemishes but they should be minor scuffs, if any.

What happens is that you can get a brand new computer from the apple store and return it within 15 days. At that point they can't sell it as new so it goes back and they clean it, inspect it and certify it.

Another thing would be having to buy a video cord in case you want to work with a larger screen. You would need HDMI, DVI, or VGA but the cost is minimal!

Let me know, either here or PM, if you have further questions.

Ok firstly we need to know what iMac you've actually got.
Click on the Apple menu,
Then About this Mac
Then click more info.
It will tell you what you got, Something like iMac (Early 2011) or similar.
From there if its pre 2011 for TDM you'd need to convert the video output from the wii to display port.
Using some combination of adaptors like this:
http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-1080P-Output-Upscaling-Converter/dp/B0050RKH2Y
and http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Mini-DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-Adapter/dp/B00C28L51G/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1410421645&sr=1-3&keywords=hdmi+to+mini+displayport
Might work, but you'd still need speakers to deal with sound separately.
If it is a 2011 then your out of luck and nothing will work.
