The best option would be a card reader like this one. Transferring photos from the camera through the cable will be slower and more cumbersome than just taking the card out of the camera.
The Note 2 has OTG support on the USB-C port. You can store stuff on everything from an SD card reader to a USB Flash drive or even an external USB SSD if you want.
I have a Pixel 3 (not XL) and just bought the Anker 2-in-1 card reader, and it does not work. I try to switch what controls the device (USB to phone) but the phone cannot switch it over.

Gotcha. I got a micro SD installed on my wii using the ad card card adapter already. Would it be cheaper to buy a hard drive or to go the micro SD card route with this
