If you want to upgrade you could go with something like Mountain Hardwear MT6, Western Rise AT Rivets, 1620 Workwear, or Outlier Strong/Slim Dungarees. I’d stay away from raw denim, it’s not really more durable than any equivalent weight cotton fabric. A quick browse through /r/rawdenim will show pants with holes in them after just a year of casual use- experiencing that kind of wear with any of the pants I listed above would be unthinkable.
