Background / Stats: 49 years old, 5’9”, 191.8 (-.2), 16% BF. Married 11 years, 17 year old son (other kids are grown up, married and moved out on their own). Discovered RP August of 2015.

Bible Study: 10. We read the Bible together every night as a family, and read through the entire Bible every year.

Anybody reading this who would like a copy of the Bible reading plan that I put together, I shared it in this post.

Physical / Lifting: 7. Still doing more reps and sets, and increasing the weight used slowly each time. Added some ab work back into my routine, seems to be okay so far. Consistency is solid and I’m seeing more definition.

Diet: 8. No sugar, no junk. Although I lost very little on the scale this past week, I have had to tighten my belt one additional notch so it would seem that things are still progressing well even if I go a little bit over my caloric goal from time to time.

Assurance of Salvation: 10

Scripture Memory: 6

Evangelism: 8.

Mission: 8

Relationship / Sex / Game / Kino: 9. We went north into the mountains this past weekend for a drive and a hike. It was nice, cool and cloudy and sprinkled a little bit. This place was somewhat off the beaten path, and the drive there consists of a bunch of fire roads winding up into the mountains, at some places it was so narrow that two vehicles could barely fit past each other. The hike through the forest was decently challenging, with stunning views on all sides. We went to another park afterward and had a nice hike through a meadow surrounded by mountains and hills as well.

My wife made an effort to dress in a little tighter clothing than usual, and it really highlighted the work she’s been doing lately. I made sure to show my approval and caught myself checking her out quite a bit over the course of the day. Sex has been off the hook lately because we’re alone, my challenge this week will be keeping that additional momentum and enthusiasm going now that our son is home.

Parenting: 7. I picked my son up at the airport yesterday and we spent the rest of the afternoon together, just the two of us. He took quite a few pictures and it looks like he had a great time. He did okay in his events but not great – he landed wrong when practicing for the steeplechase run and bruised his heel, and that held him back on his other runs. But he had fun and got to go somewhere cool so he’s happy with that. He told me that the Vancouver airport security was an absolute nightmare, and they made him go through it 4 different times on his way out to Australia. He was tempted to lose it, and from his description it sounds like they were deliberately harassing him to try and get him to lose his cool, but he was able to keep himself under control and get through it alright. It was a reality check for sure.

My mother: I’m still visiting her once or twice a week, but spent more time with my wife and didn’t worry about my mother too much. She had mentioned that she missed going to church and missed being able to take communion, so I texted the youth pastor who visits her every week and asked if he could bring communion for her each time he visits her. He said no problem he could do that. It’s actually kinda cool, they have this traveling fellowship cup that is single serving and has a wafer and juice so he just brings that and does it and it’s easy. She was very pleased that it was able to be taken care of so effortlessly and was grateful that I took the time right then.

Quiet Time / Prayer: Spending time in prayer daily, and am working on developing my prayer list to include more specific prayer requests, as well as taking time to express my gratitude to God for all He has done for me.

Career/Finances: Still waiting for an answer on the job situation. I’m working on being content where God has me now and trusting His timing.

Home Projects: Worked on a few minor things around the house, did some cleaning as I had time and have been organizing things in the garage in boxes and labeling them.

Fellowship: Online Bible study/fellowship still going well, I’m getting a lot out of it every week.

Social: I had a co-worker approach me last week about attending church. We talk regularly so I had stopped by to see how he was doing, and out of nowhere he just opened up and shared all the problems he is dealing with in his relationship and his life. I connected with him and he showed up on Sunday for the service. Praise God! We invited him to come to our house and eat lunch after church but he said he had some things to take care of. He did however say that he would see me Monday at work, and he would see me next Sunday so I’m greatly encouraged by this! His name is Rich, please keep him in prayer – that he would place his trust in Christ for his salvation and that his family problems would be worked out for His glory.

Unlike protestants, we have this thing where we're one Church. So it's still the church supplying itself. Your shit comes from a supply company. I can buy it on fucking Amazon.

And the monasteries actually put some effort into producing the wine, not mass producing low quallity grape juice and jamming it into cheap packaging for individual(<--key word here) consumption.
