Have you tried using Dex station? I bought a $25 version of it and it works great. It would use a regular HDMI cable.

Right, but the ones that specifically mention as compatible with the Nintendo switch work in dex mode.

This one works and I like the form factor better than the one I bought, which works perfectly, by the way.
Granted the latter is cheaper.
Just plug a usb hub into the US 3 port, hdmi to a TV or. Monitor, a QC2.0+ charger into the USB C and plug into the Note. Easy peasy.
