Those automotive-style blade fuses are garbage for this sort of application. Even if they claim it can do 40 amps or 60 amps it's just a 100% lie.
You need something more substantial. I use a relay designed for a 36v boat trolling motor.

A cheaper alternative would be to use 'Maxi' style bladed fuses. They are similar in shape to the normal automotive fuses, but are physically larger and designed for up to 70 amps. You will want to make sure to get something with beefy bolt terminals and not the cheap soft plastic holders like the one you already have.
