> First time selling, hope i get it right.
Assuming this is the model you're trying to sell,(Edit: it's not, it's this one, my bad) you might want to try asking for a lower price than$20$35 over what a new one's been running recently. If you're wanting to sell it quickly, several other new 1080s have been going for $540-$550 recently, so setting your price in that neighborhood or even a touch lower might be something worth considering.
(Edits in italics, thanks to /u/vladniko for setting me straight, was in a bit of a rush earlier, sorry!)
Preorders were open on June 3(Amazon). I have it at $611.82

I'd get a different mouse. Also, that price seems high for a gtx 1070. I'd spend a few dollars more and get a 1080 if you're looking at spending that on a 1070

I just checked jet.com for you. I'd get a video card there and use the code SAVE15 to get 15% off. Found a GTX1080 for like $500.
Hey I have a 4 GTX 1080s. Im unforutanetly not in the market for another one though, but I definitely want these sold.
This was in my posting from a couple of days ago:
2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 (looks brand new, looks to have no signs of use) - $565 shipped each (don't be silly)
1 x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition (minor scratching on shroud) - $525 shipped
1 X Gigabyte GeForce GTX GV-N1080G1 GAMING-8GD (like new) - $550 shipped
As a realistic minded person, although I am a fan of AMD, if the midstream is not your market, nVidia is still the way to go as of today. Wait another 6 months and Vega may end up causing a stir in the high end as well. At that point, I would be hard pressed to recommend nVidia. Generally, they are overpriced, and if AMD continues with it's push toward affordability and performance per dollar, then perhaps Vega will still be a great buy for the money, even if priced at $400 compared to a $800 (currently) GTX1080.
The fact that DX12 favors AMD, that AMD has stronger compute, and that the majority of all video game developers will be coding with AMD hardware in mind (all 3 consoles for multiple generations), then AMD is looking more and more like a solid buy for the first time in a long time, even at the high end, but again, for this very moment, either the 1070 or the 1080 are the way to go if you don't care about the $$$.
[Gigabyte GeForce GTX GV-N1080G1 GAMING-8GD Video Graphics Card] (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GJEE9BG/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) Down to $496 after the ridiculous price of $649. Not sure if prime deal or regular deal
Here you go. Check out r/buildapcsales as well.
There are a couple 1080s below $600 and many below $650, for example this one
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GJEE9BG/?tag=pcpapi-20
Is this a decent deal being $100 off? Have some Amazon credit I've been building up waiting to upgrade from a GTX780 sometime this fall. That price is only $20 more than the current 1070 variant.
https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GTX-1080-Gaming/dp/B01GJEE9BG/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1505219244&sr=1-1&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_five_browse-bin%3A6147187011
I would say get the 1080. Ironically, Gigabyte GTX 1080 is cheaper than 1070 on Amazon right now.
Hi guys,
Do you think the AORUS GTX 1080 Xtreme Edition is worth 60$ more then the Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming?
Aorus: https://www.amazon.ca/Gigabyte-Geforce-Graphics-GV-N1080AORUS-X-8GD/dp/B01N4WLWI0/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1503712525&sr=8-6&keywords=aorus&th=1
Gigabyte: https://www.amazon.ca/Gigabyte-Geforce-Graphics-GV-N1080AORUS-X-8GD/dp/B01GJEE9BG/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1503712525&sr=8-6&keywords=aorus&th=1
You can spend a lot less and get one like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GV-N1080G1-GAMING-8GD-Graphics/dp/B01GJEE9BG/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1480371311&sr=1-2&keywords=gtx+1080
Reference cards are sexy but 3rd part versions improve temps and performance, get an ASUS or Gigabyte model.
Edit: added links to gpu models
And at that point just get a 1080 for $20 more.
edit: well the deal is dead now. You can find others, though.
You could also consider $100 cheaper GTX 1080's like the https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GV-N1080G1-GAMING-8GD-Graphics/dp/B01GJEE9BG/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1497204248&sr=1-2&keywords=gtx%2B1080&th=1
Not sure exactly how much difference there's between that and the Asus card. The chips are the same so there shouldn't much difference in the gaming performance, noise levels and build quality is another thing though.
I checked some customer reviews at Amazon, showed many complaints about fan defects, noise specifically, some other sites said overheating problems.

Just found that by fast googling. Decent AIB.
But living in Europe. Can get one for 600€ which includes 20% VAT so it's basically $500 plus taxes.
If Vega becomes a competitor Nvidia will lower prices I am sure. But it seems like that a 1080ti is a better investment. Not as hardly hit by miners and 30% faster.

Ok I've read through the tomshardware on how to buildapc. To be honest there was a lot of terms I didn't understand so it was a bit overwhelming for me but I tried my best. I learn better with the actual parts in front of me rather than just seeing the word or picture.
There were a few questions I noted down as I looked at the parts that I hope you could answer.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GJEE9BG/?tag=pcpapi-20&th=1
Sorry for bombarding you with all my silly questions. I appreciate all of your help. Still deciding which build to go with because I like both. I like the ryzen 7 because it's different and because all of my friends keep saying intel is better so it makes me want to get something different but not sure yet. Do you think both builds are good for current games and possibly new games?
>This is kinda' why the differences between all of the overclocks put on GPU's from the various vendors (e.g. MSI, Asus, etc) shouldn't be a priority, as - at most - the difference will be negligible/1-2 fps gains.
So, if one were looking at a GTX 1080, would you argue just getting the cheapest one you could find? The cheapest price I can see for the GTX 1080 is $594.99. I'm struggling to determine what I should prioritize. Core speed? Boost speed? Fan/cooling quality? Manufacturer reputation? (I only ask this because the one-star reviews in my link don't seem to like the Gigabyte company.) Decent warranty? People seem to say that fan/cooler quality matters, but it's unclear to me how to figure that out quantitatively. Do the water cooling and clock speed increases of the $769.99 version justify a $175 price difference?
Edit: Forgot to mention that this is in USD.
How does it compare to this one and this one?
I agree. I would hardly call this a deal.
I think this is a poor deal, but $30 cheaper.
Can an Asus motherboard with Aura Sync control the lighting for a Gigabyte graphics card?

It's around a 25% performance gain, so that depends on what you're doing. In my mind, yes.
Also, this one here has a rather good cooler and is actually cheaper than the equivalent 1070.
Is there one you would recommend? Going on amazon I find ones from:
Asus- https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-GeForce-STRIX-Graphics-STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING/dp/B01K5F8MJK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482899204&sr=8-1&keywords=gtx+108
Gigabyte-https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GV-N1080G1-GAMING-8GD-Graphics/dp/B01GJEE9BG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1482899204&sr=8-3&keywords=gtx+108
and MSI-https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1080-GAMING-3DisplayPort/dp/B01GLYD7MG/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1482899276&sr=1-6&keywords=gtx+1080.
Should I just go for the cheapest? (Gigabyte)
What determines a good GPU? Looking at a bunch of GTX 1080 options out there and I found what I think to be a good card for a reasonable price. Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming for $519. Seems like a good enough card from what I find on it.
Is this cheaper than Amazon Rn? https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GV-N1080G1-GAMING-8GD-Graphics/dp/B01GJEE9BG
I used a 28degrees card so I can't say for sure. In the end I paid $680 aud including shipping.
Yeah, and the G1 is $620 on amazon and has been $580 which is a pretty good buy.
I don't know of anyone who would recommend the Zotac AMP even for it's price.
Anyways you were comparing more expensive 1080 models which really aren't worth the extra cost when almost all 1080 Pascal chips can hit >2Ghz (the G1 can hit over 2Ghz even on a single 8-pin power connector). The MSI Gaming models were notoriously overpriced at some point but have come down a bit but it should be pointed out that the Armor edition (that's comparable in price the G1 on that note) shares the same PCB as the Gaming models. The Strix has been priced high for long enough but it's nice to see those come down a bit. Let's not even mention the FTW cards.
Wow, thank you OP. I would like to have this, please: https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GV-N1080G1-GAMING-8GD-Graphics/dp/B01GJEE9BG/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1478292435&sr=1-3&keywords=gtx+1080
Yes, that build give you more for a slight savings. It does have a very high performing GTX 1080.
https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GV-N1080G1-GAMING-8GD-Graphics/dp/B01GJEE9BG/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1480093185&sr=1-2&keywords=gtx+1080
Will be a RCH slower and allow you to get a 6700k while not adjusting the price.
You could also go the GTX 1070 route and save $250 more and still be better off than the RX 480.
Air cooling will also save some cash if you don't plan on overclocking much. At any rate I feel like pricing out "enthusiast" builds on pcpartpicker puts you in a much better position.
Seems almost scam level compared to this:
