Nice gear photo! I might suggest bringing a bit more than 2L of water for an overnight trip. A typical adult should drink 2L of water a day. An active adult (e.g. one kayaking 40 miles) should drink more like 3L per day. For an overnight that's a minimum of 6L just in drinking water, then you'll want extra in case of emergency. A 10L dromedary bag fits easily between your legs when you're paddling, if you don't have space in your hatches.

> Good socks!

These socks will change your life in snow and mud for early season hiking trips in the mountains.

This bag is bulletproof. Very tough and doesn't leak.

I did the Outer Mountain Loop with my significant other in November and it passes through some of those routes. We packed out all of our water and food which brought our pack weight to aprox 55lb each. It was manageable with the right amount of training leading up to the hike. I would HIGHLY suggest the MSR Dromedary (https://www.amazon.com/MSR-Dromedary-Handle-Liter-Black/dp/B000FIU2T6) and your 3L camel back with a 1L container like a platypus (that'll be easiest to manipulate for cooking water).

Now in November the only place we saw water was at Fresno Springs. There were some stagnant puddles that looked pretty gross around Boot Springs, so when you get there ask the park rangers if they have any reports of water up there and you can adjust how much water is in your dromedary. For the most part, plan on sticking to the rule of thumb.
