Hehe, I mentioned I've never owned a gun, not that I didn't use them much.
But I'm actually fairly damn good with them, if I do say so myself. I literally wore out my first BB gun as a kid. My second, BB/pellet gun was honestly less fun, but used almost as much. From then on, I just borrowed one of my step-dad's 2304923409273402347509372093470293840239487 excellent rifles or shotguns. He never owned a pistol that I know of, though he did work on them for friends & family.
I have two witnesses who saw me hit a clay pigeon thrown with one of these with a .22 in college. ;) I won't claim to know how much of that was skill and how much was luck. But the owner of the gun tried ~30 times after I did it and failed to replicate the feat. :P I rub it in every chance I get, of course.
TBPH, I'm more comfortable around loaded firearms than I am around people. They're simple machines, only dangerous if you're an idiot, or around an idiot with one, and almost entirely predictable.
Not bragging, just trying to give you guys reading this submission/my posts a good picture of my experience so that you can better provide useful information/good discussion.
