This might be a bit of an overkill, but once you join the BB diving club, you’ll understand. I’ve taken several falls and even side swiped by a car, so I know what I’m talking about.
Defensive riding is highly recommended and be safe.

I use these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BFPH0NE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_VieYDb5S20SCK

They are wrist guards, and I wear gloves (usually fingerless) under them for warmth. They are comfortable for me, and provide a lot of protection both for your hand hitting the ground, and your wrist taking the impact. I have streetfaced 4 times since getting into eboarding, once when going 27mph downhill. The only time my hands/wrists got hurt was when i forgot to extend my fingers before hitting the ground, and tore a bit of skin off the tip of my finger. It was summer then and i was not wearing gloves under the guards.

The velcro quality is not the greatest. I had to replace the velcro after only a couple months of (daily) use. When I had my 27mph fall, one of the straps frayed a good bit of the way through, so I need to replace them, but im being lazy cus I dont want to sew on new velcro again haha. (Otherwise, the build quality has held up great to 4 nasty falls)

For that reason I have been looking for other wrist guards that provide the same amount of palm protection and wrist support, but I have not found anything that looks like it would be a perfect replacement for these. Slide gloves dont have wrist support, flatland 3D have only the barest of palm protection, etc. These guards do it all for me, and the fact that they are dirt cheap excuses the shitty velcro in my mind.

I highly recommend them.
