  1. AMD Ryzen 9 3900x (or 3950x when it comes out).
  2. ASRock X570 Taichi.
  3. G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3600 CAS16 RAM.
  4. 1TB NVMe SSD boot drive (970 Evo is ideal, but I'd settle for Inland too)
  5. 4TB Samsung 860 Evo storage drive.
  6. RTX 2080 Super or 2080Ti. Hybrid models like EVGA's or Gigabyte's are great at being cool AND quiet.
  7. EVGA 850 G2 power supply
  8. A nice big case to keep it all cool and quiet. Meshify S2 is my favorite.
  9. Optional: A big CPU cooler like the Noctua NH-D15. The one that comes with the 3900x is good enough to keep it all cool.

EDIT: For all the people saying "not enough X, needs more Y", the comic asks "What would be YOUR dream computer?" This is my dream computer (since it's likely the one I'm going to build next). Thanks!

4 TB SSDs are definitely a thing

Samsung 860 EVO 4TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E4T0B/AM) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07864XY8B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_CyzyCb94J1BN8

You can get a 2TB M.2 drive

Get a M.2 and dual 4 TB and you're good for 10 TB leaving 2 slots free.

You can get 4TB in 9mm—with 2mm to spare!—but you probably won't like the price: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Inch-Internal-MZ-76E4T0B-AM/dp/B07864XY8B.

There is probably not enough demand for high-capacity 7–9mm tall 2.5" disks to justify their development. Flash has pretty much completely eaten the market for that form factor.

If you have that much money to play with, instead of an ssd and hdd just get something like this (though it is a good bit more expensive)

Edit:typo

A 4TB 870 Evo would make much more sense for this use case if you really need that much SSD space. Using 4x 1TB 970 Pros in RAID 0 over the chipset isn't going to give you any real difference in performance, but it will cost twice as much.

While is it quite easy to upgrade the internal HDD, it is very expensive to upgrade to a 4TB internal drive since the maximum PS4 drive thickness is 9.5mm.

Current 4TB 2.5" spinning HDDs are 15mm thick (such as the Seagate BaraCuda 4TB 2.5" HDD).

4TB SSDs can be thinner than 9.5mm (such as the Samsung EVO 860 4TB drive at 7mm), but cost over $700 US.

Very nice. Some things that you have in here that I ended up having issues with. I'm going to go out and buy the 4TB SSD when it drops back to 650 (it was that price earlier today but didn't pull the trigger) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07864XY8B/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

1 TB is just such little space when you're getting a bunch of games, shows, movies, or media. Runs out way too quick.

I used to use AMD but I like a hotter room so the Intel has been much more stable for me.

Not sure about your cooler but the more expensive ones seemed to use more fan power and in turn make more noise which I hate.

Is it really worth the 100 bucks to pay for Windows 10?

I would highly recommend the Benq brand of monitory. Every single gamer for every type of game goes with that from what I've seen.

Is 16GB of RAM enough these days? I remember when I put together my last computer they recommended 32. Not sure how it has changed since.

This is a good one, albeit a little old. Still fast though. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Inch-Internal-MZ-76E4T0B-AM/dp/B07864XY8B

if you're feeling rich: 4TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD, yours for "only" $800.

I haven't actually tried it myself, but can't see any reason it wouldn't work.

Around $500 (Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Inch-Internal-MZ-76E4T0B-AM/dp/B07864XY8B), since it's a dell you can easily upgrade it, here's the video proof that this is posible for the dell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXxXa_beXc4.

Can you easily upgrade a macbook pro? At what cost?

Here's a nice video that proves your point about specs not being performance, where that lower spec laptop beats the macbook pro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7ZZdOEcWVw

No matter what you're being told, you insist on not understanding that for some people going the hackintosh route is a better option. My argument is coherent, I try to provide links to back it up, what have you done in that regard?

Well first, you get a few of these.
