There is no alternative to hay... he needs it ASAP too. Hay is 90% of his diet and that is what keeps GI system healthy and teeth from overgrowing. Without hay a bunny will not survive long.

Do you have any horse farms around at all? If so you can usually get hay from them - you are looking for high quality horse hay, not cow/cattle hay though.

Also Amazon does ship to Sri Lanka and while not the cheapest option if you have a bunny and have no alternative even in the short-term you have to order from there.

This is fantastic hay - https://www.amazon.com/Small-Pet-Select-Sampler-Orchard/dp/B06Y336MK8 (they also have alfalfa though you only can feed that till he is 6 months old).

If you can't get that get Oxbow brand hay from amazon, that is the best commercially packaged hay.

The same with pellets - order Oxbow from amazon. They are the best... don't feed anything with colorful bit or seeds or oats as that is junk food for bunnies.

Try other local pet store. I read that K-9 has hay.

Lastly if you have any bunny rescues around or shelters they may have hay for you to buy.

Proper is really an immediate need and overfeeding pellets or greens will result in poopy butt which is dangerous in warmer climates especially due to fly strike.

Btw be aware that heat is very dangerous to bunnies - anything over 75F is getting mildly unforgettable for them, and anything over 80F and closer to 90F can and does cause heatstroke related irreparable neurological damage, often leaving your bunnies disabled for life, if still alive.

The best thing to do is to find a portable AC unit or a window one... Many people here get ACs just for the bunny room for that reason.

You can manage the heat by providing shade, also provide a fan, maybe a misting fan and gently spray bunny ears with water (ears is where the dissipate the heat). Provide frozen bottles and tiles to snuggle to (fill large soda bottles with water about 2/3rd of the way and freeze, get scrap tiles at home depot and freeze also), by putting ice cubes in water, and by freezing fruit treats in ice cubes.
