Definitely be picky! Lots of people on here end up with 10-20 lights. I think it's all about being minimal and finding only 2-3 lights that work for you (floody headlamp, EDC, and a thrower).
Have you looked into the Thorfire TG06S ? Not sure if that clip works for you though
I carry one of these everyday. It's small and bright and the rechargable battery lasts me about two weeks with normal use
