Length does not add latency unless the length is long enough to require a repeater. As for specification, yes it does matter, but simply make sure the cable you choose supports 1080p, otherwise known as High Speed HDMI. Here is the cable I'm using now for DK1.
I want to buy a long HDMI cable (25 feet) from my computer in the bedroom to my living room. My apartment is smallish and I want to know if there would be possible signal loss. Anyone had experienced issues with long 25 ft HDMI cables?
