Some of these are probably the same ones you found (don't know for sure since you didn't include links to the ones you already saw), but I found several that would be cool to encourage a kid to read.

Edit: forgot to mention that you can attach them to a backpack, belt bag, maybe a canvas bag, or his favourite jacket or pants or something. You can also ask him where he wants to put it. Kids are really good about choosing where they want to display something, and I can guarantee that he'll choose something he's proud to show it off on.

For some reason, Im drawn to these black trees for some sort of decoration, depending on how tall they are, they could be centerpieces maybe?

I like this wristband bracelet for bridesmaids to wear, if you have some, or even yourself, depending on your dress color.

I like the idea of black candelabras everywhere, I feel like they are very romantic/dark, if done right. Something like this minus the fake spiders, and these Bleeding candle sticks are very cool.

If you're serving punch, an intricate black punch bowl would look great. Maybe a bowl on every other table, since they're little?

Satin flower girl basket, but I think there is a whole set for this, with a guest book and ring pillow. The gems are white, but it looks like you could easily pop them out, and place them with purple.

Instead of having guests sign a guest book, you could frame this Map of Europe and take the glass out and have people sign it. It would look amazing with all the well wishes on it, but still have a neat background to it.

A set of these Apothocary jars, filled with candy or matches, placed at the bar, or around the cake table, just as little accents. And you could wrap them with a band of purple ribbon to help tie your colors together.

And lastly, I always love candles at a wedding I feel like they are the symbol of romance. Lots of candles, everywhere. They give off just the right amount of light.

I may be freaking out...

My favorite character is Mal (and yes, my username is dedicated to him). His loyalty is astounding. His crew is his family and I think it's extremely admirable. He keeps his head in times of hardship and usually pulls through with even a laugh or two. I love that he surrounds himself with people he'd like to be more like; or at least people with qualities he feels he's lost. He admires Kaylee for her innocence, Book for his faith, Simon's love for his sister and dedication to learning, etc. He knows he's had to bury this qualities in himself, so he keeps them close in other people so he doesn't forget them.

I am glad you were able to find examples, but just because a business sells some accessories to a customer base does not mean you can say China celebrates the swastika for its Nazi connotations.

As you can see, Amazon a USA company sells flags and accessories from three of its former national enemies. Is this because the USA celebrates the CSA, Nazi Germany and the USSR or at very least doesn't care about what their past actions? No, it is because a business knows there are people who find the items cool, or useful and therefore sells them.

I am sure there are many people in China who are fascinated with Nazi Germany, it is indeed a fascinating subject. However, the original point stands that the wan/swastika is not readily available through East Asia because of fascination with Nazis but because of Buddhism.

Let's change out those curtains!

Might I suggest an argyle pattern that you love for your curtains! Amazon has a selection that could help tie various room colors together, or there's this one in your favorite pink & black colors! This would also save you the work of painting argyle! =)

As for wall colors, the lightest shade should go opposite your window(s) for best lighting, and I'd go with a nearly-white shade of that lightest pink (or grey) and either the charcoal or raspberry color below an imaginary chair-rail over which you can glue this pink and black argyle ribbon to create a chair-rail look. Having a dark color only on the lower ~1/3 of a wall would keep the room from being too dark as well. =)

Alternately, the same super pale grey on the wall with this pink argyle wall sticker -- then you get some simple picture-frame trim from Home Depot (they'll even mitre it for you), paint it black (or that dark charcoal) and tack it up around the decal to make it look like a giant piece of artwork!

Actually I think I like that radio pouch better than the h20 pouch, I bet a normal sized water bottle (16.9 oz) would fit in that pretty well. I might have to invest in a different bottle/canteen that has a more secure lid so I can carry it inside the pack.

I got the black rush 12. The garbage patch I have is BRIGHT pink. The Amazon description makes it sound lighter in color than what it really is. It might fit on the name tag Velcro area pretty well since it isn't 2" all the way across, just have it hang over a little in some areas.

I'm a jewelry maker and sculptor. I work in polymer clay primarily. You can see some of my work here if you're interested. :)

I started this because I wanted to keep my hands busy and I wanted to try and use my artistic skill to help provide for my family.

I'm in a bit of a creative rut at the moment. Stress from various real life issues (mostly family stuff) and Etsy being a pain to deal with has really taken the wind out of my sails and is really throwing off my creative groove. I'd love to have some new supplies to relight my fire to start creating again.
I chose a few options:

These rhinestones are really different than the round ones I usually use and I think I could do some dynamic pieces with them. The colors I like most are ruby, peach, blue zircon, and amethyst. I love to add some sparkle to most of my work.

This bat cutter and this shell mold would both allow me to explore some new shape and design options. The bat would become Gothic/vampire necklaces and the shells would be mermaid inspired.

And this octopus wax seal is $21 and change but I REALLY want it to seal my jewelry boxes or letters with as I make a lot of octopus inspired pieces and it is my favorite animal.

Are you looking for bootcut, wide-leg, relaxed fit?

In searches I would try either "distressed" or I've seen "Rip and Repair" for jeans like that. I found a few, they're not skinny, but I don't know if they're what you're looking for one, two, and three these are all boyfriend or relaxed fit. I'm seeing a lot of these in skinny and relaxed fit, but while I am seeing ripped jeans in bootcut styles I'm not seeing the look where they are ripped and have been patched underneath. One thing you might try is getting a pair of ripped jeans in whatever style you want, or even ripping a pair there are a lot of tutorials online for how to do it, and then an iron on patch kit to create the look you want.

I actually bought my very first lapel pins and I'm so excited! They fall into all 3 categories I think. They're fun because their two of my favorite anime characters from one of my favorite animes. They are functional because I'm allergic to metal but I can pin these to my collar or work shirt and still express what I love (without the hives). :) They are frivolous because they're just an accessory and not needed in my day to day....

What I want is probably bath bombs because I've never tried them and bubble baths are one of my favorite things. :D Those are of course all 3 lol. Really frivolous though because bath bombs are pricey and not reusable. :)
