omg!! I have missed you, too and I'm glad you're out of the hospital now.

  • I'm the one on the right

  • I am a work in progress who is passionate about helping people, about science, and about creating a good life, and who may be a little too impatient and anxious at times.

  • My best friend tells me I am his inspiration. That motivates me every single day.

  • I am most proud of myself for trying my hardest to be better every day. As I mentioned, I am very impatient. I mess up every day, and every day I do things that are not what the person I want to be would do. But I keep trying harder and harder to be my best self, and I am proud for not giving up.

  • :-D

  • Be Thou My Vision from my Musica wish list is tied with V'ahavta from the same wish list for the cheapest items.

Thanks for the contest, and most of all, for the positivity you bring. Sending love and healing thoughts your way.

Check out Beairtle Ó Domhnaill - Amhrán Mháirtín, Púcán Mhicil Pháidín

And Meaití Jó Shéamuis Ó Fátharta is a sean-nós singer from Na hAille in Cois Fharraige and he is very passionate about Irish language and music. Amhrán Pheter Mhicil Báille

And Tomás Mac Eoin although I have never found his work commercially available. You will find his work on YouTube, though.

You can also find some material on the Archive site dedicated to Seosamh Ó hÉanaí.

Also check out the Cló Iar-Chonnacht site as well. That and Litriocht are the best resources for Irish learners on the web when it comes to audiobooks, music and general learning material.

|name|Christy Moore|
|about artist|Christy Moore, a native of Co. Kildare, Ireland, found fame as a member of the legendary tradition folk band Planxty. Since then he has carved out his own career as a consummate solo performer. In the 1980s Christy teamed up with Donal Lunny to form the innovative Moving Hearts. Christy Moore started in the music business in the mid-sixties, when his life as a bank clerk was interrupted by a bank strike, and he moved to England. There he became involved in the folk music scene at the time, and spent a few years playing pubs and clubs around the country. ([more on last.fm](http://www.last.fm/music/Christy Moore))|

You can also purchase from itunes or amazon- cdbaby is a favorite of small artists, as you can publish your music online for a small fee, and they handle getting it into all the various online venues- I link straight to them, as we get a larger cut from a cdbaby purchase then we do from an itunes or amazon purchase. To be honest, we have not had a single purchase yet, 3 songs are still waiting to be made.

I always think of the song, "Moron with a Bodhran", by Ceann when I hear people talking about playing the Bodhran lol. http://www.amazon.com/Moron-With-the-Bodhran/dp/B001OM53S2

Good luck... I hope you learn to play it right!

The Rocky Road to Dublin by Dubliners

I heard it on Sherlock Holmes [the RDJ version] and I've kinda been in love with it ever since. Please kindle my Irish spirit!

There's an album by The Brobdingnagian Bards called Memories of Middle Earth. The instrumental tracks are perfect for a whimsical but epic Tolkien tone. Skip the vocal tracks. http://www.amazon.com/Memories-Middle-Earth-Brobdingnagian-Bards/dp/B00009M775/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331588661&sr=8-1

Boru's Ghost, Hound of Cullan. Original composition Celtic fusion, haunting yet upbeat. http://www.amazon.com/Hound-of-Cullan/dp/B0041RZ4EK/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1331588688&sr=1-1

I also strongly recommend Omnia's Crone of War for a slightly darker adventuring and battle sound. I like to call them Angry Pagan Music as when they sing it is about the scary gods and things that go bump in the night. But the instrumentals are daring, enchanting, and atmospheric. Also their piper is fantastic. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dpopular&field-keywords=Omnia+crone+of+war

Hope this helps.

It's not much like what you have above, but when it comes to nice, calming stuff, this is my go-to.

Eluveitie makes use of a lot of tradition folk tunes in their songs. Chrigel, the band's lead vocalist and songwriter, put together a list of some of the tunes that they used here.

As you can see, the tune is known as En Dro (or An Dro) and it's an old Breton dance tune. The name apparently means "The Turn," which can be a little misleading because it can be used to describe a style of dance rather than the tune itself -- that means you'll probably find other tunes given the same name because they were used for the same style of dance.

Edit: Case in point: Eluveitie have a track called Andro on their first album. Same name because it's the same type of dance, but a different source tune.

I found a few instances of other people performing their versions of this specific tune:
