Top Reddit comments about Women's Walking Shoes:

I love my vivos! I've got several pairs.

Just bought these last week and they're lovely. Very happy with my purchase. They're office friendly, casual, comfortable, and really easy to slip on/off w/o compromising my foot.

These took me through the summer and I still wear them. They're not as quick for on/off, which is why I bought the other ones. I take off my shoes all the time - office, home, driving, etc - so I like something that's quick. They're still in decent shape though. Not amazing, but not bad considering I've been wearing practically nothing but them mid summer.

Plus you can find older styles on Amazon for great discounts, especially if your foot is outside the common sizes. I'm in CA so sandals are OK for me, but you can find warmer pairs as well.

Good luck!

There's two women I know in my department who commute in comfy shoes and change into nice shoes at work. I think one of them walks for a good 30-40 minutes so for her comfort is key.

Either way they both have these Sketchers. I realise they're not super trendy but I'm sure they're comfortable af, they're breathable and light. And I think Sketchers have good sales sometimes.

You could consider something like this or just any cheap pair of understated sneakers to keep your running shoes separate from your 'work' shoes.

I don't know about your work but sometimes in my business casual(ish) place I will run into someone more important in the elevator hall or coffee corner before I even sit down at my desk for the day and in that instance, I'd rather look generally presentable than have these people see me in neon sneakers. Especially if I have to chat with them or possibly join them in their office to discuss something further. But that's me!

Would something like Reebok Skyscapes work? I have some, and they're squishy, breathable, and you can put them in the washer. Also they have a good selection of colors.

I got some a while ago and I love them, and my mom has some sort of foot issue that causes shooting pains and she loved them when she tried them on, so I got her some for her birthday tomorrow. The only issue I can see is if she needs arch support, they don't have a lot even though they're super squishy, but an insole would definitely fit inside comfortably.

Well, the good news is it's almost fall, which means full-coverage shoes should be easier to come by and completely appropriate for every-day wear!

Personally, I love these sneakers by sketchers. I have them in three different colors and wear them almost every day to work.

I also think Toms are a cute casual flat shoe.

For dressier options, Aerosoles has a good selection of cute flats, and so do Clarks.

But, since like I said it's just about fall, I personally would switch focus to booties and riding boots and combat boots. You will have nearly endless options (presuming that your orthotics will work in any flat shoe) and less frustration than trying to find full-coverage ballet flats.

I have these ASICS Women's Metrolyte Gem Walking Shoe, Black/Onyx/Pink they're awesome. Super lightweight, look pretty good with dresses and pants alike. I'm about to order another pair because they smell like the swamp after wearing them all summer!

For women, I recommend the original Rebook Skyscape . These are the best walking shoes I've ever owned. I've worn them at several festivals and never had a problem. I never shut up about how comfortable these shoes are. There's no wearing-in process. You can can wear them straight out of the box with no issue at all. They are so comfy and light, it feels like you have nothing on. Also has good bounce on the soles.

Following up on my "must be comfortable for person with foot issues/insoles" shoe post from yesterday, has anyone worn these styles? To sum up my other concerns, I'm traveling to Great Britain+Paris in the rainy season with trail and city walking and need them to pack well and dry well. I've read a ton of reviews but none are specific to people with actual foot issues like heal pain.

Oh man, this is difficult..

I absolutely LOVE these skates. Mostly for the glitter.. More than anything I love these tennis shoes. I mean, pups and sushi!? How freaking cute, right?!

I am not a heel person at all. But I do like a cute sneaker and my go to is a Reebok princess. They’re only about $40 retail and there’s lots of cute colors. I have some very deep magenta ones and oddly enough it’s the shoe people compliment me on most and it’s so cheap, easy to clean, and comfy.

u/trappedinthetardis · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

Might be too casual for you but these come up a little higher and hide ankle socks better than vans/keds. They are also SUPER comfy (no break ins needed, and I get blisters from almost every shoe) and machine washable.

I have so many favorites! My most recent one has been these fit kicks in black/grey. https://www.amazon.com/FitKicks-Womens-Active-Footwear-Fuchsia/dp/B00V6ZMRYU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1506539372&sr=8-1&keywords=fit+kicks+for+women
I buy them as gifts. 20.00 bucks and everyone loves them. I wear them during road trips, running basic errands, airports, short walks around the neighborhood. My 11 yr old niece begged me not to wear them in public with her. Ha! They definitely make a fashion statement.

u/ahbeezy · 2 pointsr/Thailand

I bought these shoes before I went to Thailand and it was the best purchase ever! Quick drying, comfortable to walk in all day, super light weight, and anti-stink. Ive had them for over a year and they barely look worn. http://www.amazon.com/Merrell-Womens-Barefoot-Lithe-Glove/dp/B007CXMGIM

So I'm going to buy a pair of skechers go walks for my Mom as a gift. She tried them on instore and liked them a lot, but didn't get herself any new shoes because she wanted to give my sister and I new sneakers instead. The problem is, I don't really like any of them, so I'm having trouble deciding which one looks the best or what she would like. All I know is she tried on the black and seemed disappointed that it was the only one in her size.

Which of these looks the best to you guys?:

different black

Mint or Coral

Lavender

Aqua Multi or Black Multi

I also liked the skechers go walk autumn sneaker in chocolate brown, but I'm not sure if there is a major difference between the first series of go walks and the second.

You're on the right track but they're definitely not the Lyte33. I'm very certain of that. The logo is too far rear in the lyte33, the upper design is different, the pattern on the sole is different, the shoelaces are different, etc. Different shoe.

These shoes are more similar to the Asics Women's Gel-Frequency 33 Walking shoe.

However they're a little different in that the asics logo is more white rather than greyish, the inner side logo should have a black stripe in the middle of the lines, the sole of the shoe should have a view of the 'shock asorber' near the heel (instead of the rear edge of the sole in the frequency33) and a curve that creates a triangle pattern on one of the black parts of the pattern. Also the 'reflector' on the outside of the toe of the toe is slightly different shaped and positioned, more squareish. And although it didn't say I imagine that it doesn't have the zaggs near the rear or 'frequency33'.

Another similar shoe would be the men's neo 33, but the shoe laces and sole are completely different.

In an interview on farang-mag.com he said

>What shoes are you wearing right now?

>They’re girls Asics, I don’t know what they’re called actually and I found only one pair of them online – oh fuck, they’re almost broken as well – and those looked alright so I bought them. I didn’t really care that they were girls shoes either. They’re the right size so I said fuck it.

My guess is that they're a different Asics women's walking shoe but has long since been discontinued and you're not going to find very easily.

Oh I'm so glad I clicked on this thread! I've been looking for a comfy and super light pair of shoes to replace my Reeboks that I can no longer find in the right size or color, these look like a good idea!!

u/legopolis · 3 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I feel your pain. Walking shoes are a bitch. I've sort of given up and am embracing functionality over style for walking. It's not pretty but this walking shoe will change your life:

Maybe stick other cute shoes in your bag for when your walk is done?

If you insist on trying to be cute WHILE you're walking, try the Skechers Go Walk line. They aren't super cute, but they won't make you cry inside either. And I've had some success walking in them for 3-4 mile stretches.

I got these Reebok sneakers in black after seeing them recommended in another thread on FFA. I really like them, and find them very comfortable.

u/Exiled_In_LA · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Someone linked these Skechers a day or two ago, they look super comfy - https://www.amazon.com/Skechers-Performance-Womens-Primary-Walking/dp/B0123S4KVG

u/Seranade · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

I don't wear heels either because they're just not suited for me/my life.

For work - Hush Puppies Chilli because I'm a pharmacist = on my feet all day. My next purchase for work are compression stockings. The hush puppies are almost dead so I'll need to get some more work shoes soon too.

Casual -

  • Skechers Go Step Lite / Reebok Skyscape Runaround 2.0 both in black/white; if these shoes broke I would replace them with the exact same shoes. I have the Skyscape in grey as well, but it gets stained easily so I would find a different pair of grey sneakers if they broke.

  • Veja Esplar Velcro in white - if these shoes broke I would find a different pair of white sneakers.

  • Black Slides (forgot brand) - I also want to get a pair of brown slides for lighter-coloured outfits.

  • Black chelsea's (forgot brand) for winter

  • On my to-buy list: nice, plain pair of pointed toe black leather flats (why are they so hard to find!?)
