Mischief Managed! =D (All of this is seriously making me so giddy!)
And again, thank you sooooo much for this! I'm so excited about all this Potterness!
I have a 3 year old that wanted to be a Ghostbuster so let me help you out:
Proton Pack - The rubies pack doesn't have lights or sound but looks pretty good and is perfectly scaled for a smaller child. The spirit pack might be a little too big and heavy for a little guy: https://www.amazon.com/Rubies-Costume-Classic-Ghostbusters-Backpack/dp/B01CIOHLAM
The uniform can be bought a few different ways. Spirit does sell a pretty good quality one that comes with the Venkman name tag: https://www.spirithalloween.com/product/tv-movies-gaming/movies/ghostbusters/kids-ghostbusters-boys-one-piece-costume-ghostbusters-classic/pc/1382/c/3810/sc/1471/150345.uts?thumbnailIndex=9
If your kiddo is like mine, it might be too big. I would suggest checking out a store and trying it on first. If it is too big, you best alternative might be this flight suit from Amazon. While it's exactly screen accurate, the sizing most likely is for a little one and you can remove all the patches and sew on the GB ones: https://www.amazon.com/Aeromax-Fighter-Pilot-Suit-Embroidered/dp/B00X1AOO7G/ref=sr_1_3?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1537216807&sr=1-3&keywords=kids+flight+suit
As for the name tags/patches if you go with the Amazon flight suit, I have bought from the seller below with great success. She has a quick turnaround (1 to 2 days before shipping) and the quality is pretty good: https://www.ebay.com/itm/TODDLER-Ghostbusters-No-Ghost-1-Custom-Name-Tag-Patch-Set-Iron-on-backed/390932212275?epid=1931622681&hash=item5b05602a33:g:-7cAAMXQBLNTlfyh:sc:USPSFirstClass!86323!US!-1
Lastly, the accessories like goggles and trap would most likely be best bought from spirit. The size of the goggles is a little small and fit my kids pretty well. The trap will be a little big but I am sure you son will have a blast playing with it (it looks like the trap is sold out online but I am sure you can find one in store). Here is the link to the goggles: https://www.spirithalloween.com/product/light-up-ghostbusters-ecto-goggles-ghostbusters/164359.uts?Extid=sf_froogle
We went with my daughter when she was 11 months old and with both my son and daughter when they were 13 and 35 months old respectively. An umbrella stroller that takes up as little space as possible and corners well is a must. When walking with my daughter when she was 35 months I had her wear a giraffe backpack that had a leash attached to it. I didn't use the leash as a way to restrain her but kept it looped on my wrist while holding her hand and walking around. Toddlers are ninjas at darting away and in crowds the size of Gen Con they can disappear in a flash. The leash kept me reassured that if that happened I wouldn't lose her.
The best day for the exhibit hall will probably be Friday. Be sure to go through the Family Fun section of the exhibit hall. Companies like Habba have games for very young kids.
Obviously bring snacks and drinks for her. Be prepared to step away from the convention as needed. It can be over-stimulating for adults for kids it can be even more so. If you have a downtown hotel room that is perfect, if not there are plenty of quieter spots on the second floor of the ICC. Your title says "us" so I am guessing that you have a partner coming along. Be sure to take turns on who will be the one to take care of your daughter if special attention is needed. If you bring your daughter to an event clear it with the GM before the game starts and make sure it is not going to disrupt things too much if you need to leave.
Most of that is pretty common sense. The only "hack" I have is if your kid is anything like mine and likes attention put her in a comfortable geeky toddler costume. The constant attention and requests for photos made my kids feel so special and definitely upped their tolerance for how much convention they could handle.
Finally be sure to be aware of everyone around you. Like it or not there are plenty of people who do not think that small children should be allowed at the con or on the show floor. Be sure to prove them wrong by showing that parents can be courteous even while pushing a small stroller.
Edit: Fixed my daughter's age.
Some of these aren't on Amazon, but all of them outside of amazon are on my wishlist, is that okay?
1.) Something that is grey.
[This compilation of xkcd comics!] (http://www.amazon.com/xkcd-0-Randall-Munroe/dp/0615314465/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1KXQQYMQ3MHEJ&coliid=I12D1D7CV12AVC) Though there aren't any formerly-unseen comics included, this is perfect for the lover of the famous (and always relevant) Xkcd webcomics.
2.) Something reminiscent of rain.
[This t-shirt for fans of Incubus that is apparently out of stock now, but I'm keeping it on my wishlist to gaze wistfully at.] (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/315rOsJeWzL._SL135_.jpg)
Incubus has always been one of my favorite bands, and all art that the lead singer (Brandon Boyd) produces is amazing, so I had high faith in this shirt being wonderful if I had the money to buy it.
3.) Something food related that is unusual.
[So I typed in "candy" and this popped up..] (http://www.amazon.com/LOCOMO-Rainbow-Hedgehog-Plastic-Baseball/dp/B00BRWH99K/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_2_49?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1376327288&sr=1-49&keywords=candy)
I'm not sure what I was expecting.
4.) Something on your list that is for someone other than yourself. Tell me who it's for and why.
[My mom has always wanted to learn calligraphy and someone recommended this book to me] (http://www.amazon.com/Learn-Calligraphy-Complete-Lettering-Design/dp/0767907329/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1KXQQYMQ3MHEJ&coliid=I35YCU37X7E6Y2)
She paints signs for people, usually featuring newborn babies or pets, and she always has to print out a guide and trace it if her customers request a font for their name.
5.) A book I should read! I am an avid reader, so take your best shot and tell me why I need to read it!
[This compilation of postsecrets-- artistic postcards with secrets written on them-- that are all touching in their own way.] (http://www.amazon.com/PostSecret-Extraordinary-Confessions-Ordinary-Lives/dp/0060899190/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1KXQQYMQ3MHEJ&coliid=I22JZDFLS686V8)
If you haven't heard of Postsecret yet, you should check it out [here] (http://www.postsecret.com/)
6.) An item that is less than a dollar, including shipping... that is not jewelry, nail polish, and or hair related!
I dunno!
7.) Something related to cats. I love cats! (keep this SFW, you know who you are...)
I have two cats, but I got nothing for this one.
8.) Something that is not useful, but so beautiful you must have it.
[This key from KeypersCove] (http://www.amazon.com/Handmade-Winter-Rose-Key-Necklace/dp/B00D3S4GVU/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376329005&sr=8-1&keywords=keypers+cove)
I had a similar one on my wishlist but it's out of stock now.
9.) A movie everyone should watch at least once in their life. Why?
[Cloud Atlas!] (http://www.amazon.com/Cloud-Atlas/dp/B00CRWJ5GO/ref=sr_sp-btf_title_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1376329072&sr=8-4&keywords=clouds+atlas)
Terribly confusing unless you see the [trailer] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWnAqFyaQ5s) first, it's surprisingly appropriate for this sub.
10.) Something that would be useful when the zombies attack. Explain.
[This climbing pick] (http://www.amazon.com/Omega-Pacific-Mountain-Axe-80cm/dp/B002J91R1G/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1376330277&sr=8-2&keywords=climbing+pick)
Ever played Telltale's The Walking Dead? Well, one character had a climbing pick that they used pretty frequently to scale buildings and kill zombies..it opened my eyes to the possibilities and dual uses of items.
11.) Something that would have a profound impact on your life and help you to achieve your current goals.
[This book] (http://www.amazon.com/The-Emotion-Thesaurus-Character-Expression/dp/1475004958/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top) for my writing skills, I always have trouble finding just the right way to convey the proper emotion, plus I have severe social anxiety so it would help me figure out how to act in real life as well.
[Or this book by the famous Virginia Woolf] (http://www.amazon.com/The-Waves-Harvest-Book-ebook/dp/B004R1Q41C/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1KXQQYMQ3MHEJ&coliid=IHP0D0N718720) just the type of writing style I'm aiming for.
[Or this book that I'm sure would help me with my technique.] (http://www.amazon.com/Writing-Tools-Essential-Strategies-Writer/dp/0316014990/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top)
12.) One of those pesky Add-On items.
Hm?
13.) The most expensive thing on your list. Your dream item. Why?
I used to have this on my list, but a [Geiger counter] (http://www.amazon.com/Radex-RD1503-RADEX-Radiation-Detector/dp/B00051E906/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376331004&sr=8-1&keywords=geiger+counter) because I'm paranoid about radiation and etc. Deleted it off my list because it's not useful for everyday life.
14.) Something bigger than a bread box. EDIT A bread box is typically similar in size to a microwave.
I got nothing on my list.
15.) Something smaller than a golf ball.
[These socks] (http://www.amazon.com/Portal-Chells-Aperture-Science-Socks/dp/B008JGPSJU/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1KXQQYMQ3MHEJ&coliid=I2KUOG9B813AXT) because they're ultra thin and I'm sure they could be crumpled up that small.
16.) Something that smells wonderful.
I'd put something here, but there's nothing I'm sure of. [This book] (http://www.amazon.com/White-Fluffy-Clouds-Inspiration-Forward/dp/0974512001/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1KXQQYMQ3MHEJ&coliid=I16LKBYPI8BE5U) because it could smell like Brandon Boyd?
17.) A (SFW) toy.
I've got nothing!
18.) Something that would be helpful for going back to school.
[This shirt] (http://www.designbyhumans.com/shop/rising-t-shirt/13087/) because I find it amazing, oh my god oh my god.
19.) Something related to your current obsession, whatever that may be.
[I've been trying to learn Irish for quite awhile now..] (http://www.amazon.com/Learning-Irish-Michael-OSiadhail/dp/0300121776/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376331377&sr=8-1&keywords=learn+irish)
20.) Something that is just so amazing and awe-inspiring that I simply must see it. Explain why it is so grand.
[This poster, this poster!] (http://smbc.myshopify.com/products/dear-human-19x27-poster) To see what it's based on, the original comic is [here] (http://www.smbc-comics.com/?id=2223)
Mischief Managed
I love you all but I don't want to see 500 planning post. This is the planning post. There will be one more post and it will be the event post. Any other post will be put in the conbini trash.

>
> Here is my 110% guaranteed to rock out recipe for hanami I've used since 2008.
>
> 0. A Location. I've always done Yoyogi park because its and absolute circus and I love that atmosphere. Everyone is drunk and you see people do dumb shit like swim in the center pond. A good location is key. It needs to be near a good tree or trees, has to be relatively easy to find, and most important you actually need to get it. Scout out the week before when the blooms are starting to blossom so you can get an idea of what area will be the most kawaii. You can do it at other parks as well but the game plan is the same.
> So on the weekend of full bloom you need to get your ass to Yoyogi at the asscrack of dawn to lay your claim. You wont be the only person there at 6am half asleep trying to put down a massive tarp. This is the only 100% way to get the spot you want the most. Pretend your the expeditionary force of a large army of party people and you must set up the forward operating base. This is your duty.
>
> 1. A blue tarp, large. The more people you have the larger the tarp needs to be. I usually go for 100sqm, but work your way up to that level of rage. 15sqm is a good starting point. Amazon has this shit.
>
> 2. A baby pool. Why do you need a baby pool? Where else will your beer and booze go. Have the size of the pool and the area of the tarps match. Amazon has this shit.
>
> 3. Booze. Especially when you can get it delivered. Always bring a couple of cases of "starter beers" to get the pool going. People should BYOB to share. You will usually end up with extra as long as ppl are not dicks. Base access is a godsend because cases of booze on base are like what 15 bucks for bud compared to 50 for a case of asahi. I also have "one weird tip for not having to drag beer halfway across the prefecture."
>
> 4. ICE. This should also be listed as #1 part 2 because ice keeps the booze cold and the people happy. There are services that deliver it in block and rock form, use blocks mostly, have some bags of rock for drinks. At least 10KG if not more to start. Have people bring a couple of bags/blocks of ice along with their booze and food as well.
>
> 5. Food. People should bring food and have enough to share. Domino's delivers and there always vendors. You will be camped out from early morning, bring and MRE or something.
>
> 6. People. Invite everyone. Most people will have multiple hanami to float by and some will base out of your party. Plus depending on the gravity of your party you might attract people from other tarps to want to chill with you.
>
> 7. A screenshot of a google map with your exact location. One zoomed in pretty close and a larger one relative to the layout of the park itself. Cell reception shits itself and maps and chat become spotty and slow. Once you have your spot picked out in the morning and your set up take screenshots of your location and post it. You can also post your GPS coordinates but if there is signal trouble people might to be able to load the map.
>
> I don't ask for money but if you have a few people help co-host if everyone chips in a bit for the first 4 items it won't be expensive. As long as people bring more than they take it works out well and everyone has a good time. There other things that could be done but these the critical items.
>
> Don't ask people for suggestions on shit just pick the spot/day/time and say this is it, bring booze, ice and food. If you set tarp, they will come. Use facebook to make a post, update people during the day, and to broadcast if you need more ice or booze.

Two light sticks I ordered from amazon.jp arrived with the mail today. They are this type
The inserts I had before, I was handed them by the parents at Twinkle's merch stand when I bought other things. The are designed by a fan: @mcz_kiiro on Twitter. (Thank you!) I don't know if there are still inserts left, or if it is possible to get them when ordering from the Twinkle Store if asking nicely.
The middle light stick (Saki) I had before. It was a gift from a fan in Japan. (Thank you thank you!) The new ones (Sakura, Misaki) are a bit more sparkling (due to the white insert that comes with the light stick, not being the same). It looks a bit weird in the photo, but very good in real life.
Now I feel I am much better prepared to go back to Japan again this year! Only cheering for one of them would have felt weird. Twinkle fans need three light sticks to do proper wotagei. :)
The mugs work pretty well as light stick stands
Well i'd love to have a face down ass up picture to help me decide but i'll work with what i have.
Hope to see you in these soon! you have a wonderful daddy and im more than a little jealous so if he ever feels like he wants another slave he's welcome to reach me on discord or via a pm here!
Oooh, good question. I spent some time on the RPF tracking things down, so here's a breakdown. For the record, eventually I will be trading all of this for the ANOVOS set because it looks so good. I placed an order, but knowing ANOVOS, it might take a year.
Vest: Purchased from the Disney Store. They have a kids' Jyn Erso vest. https://smile.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Sergeant-Erso-Costume/dp/B01N1Q7U8B/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492644234&sr=8-1&keywords=jyn+erso+kids I ripped off all the detailing: the three pieces of black webbing, the fake puffy badge, and the fake clip. Attached rubber tubing to the inside flap and where the vertical black webbing was. Cemented that tubing with a screen accurate clip from the M60 backpack, and a buckle at the bottom. Then dyed some of that backpack's webbing to get the nice brown color for the horizontal squares on the chestpiece. 3D printed a new badge and adhered that to where the old one was. Took the cap off a lightsaber pen I'd won a few years ago at Dave & Busters as the Comm link. (And there's a Jyn toy in my other pocket, but that's just for fun.)
Shirt: Just used the Disney store one. I fit perfectly into a size 9/10. I'm 5'0 and 100 lbs.
Blaster, Death Star plans, and tonfa: 3D printed and ordered from a shop off Etsy
Gloves: Ordered the screen-accurate Black Diamond Stone gloves in an XS and modded them to fit smaller. https://smile.amazon.com/Black-Diamond-Climbing-Gloves-Natural/dp/B00AHEQ0TO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1492644457&sr=8-3&keywords=black+diamond+gloves+climbing Ripped off the flaps and velcro, dyed them multiple times with brown leather dye and weathered them with nailpolish remover and deglazer. Sewed circles into them to be screen accurate, and added new leather I bought off eBay that I cut and sewed to the gloves. Added snaps to keep them shut.
Pants: Not screen accurate, ordered them a LONG time ago as a commision but the pants should have a wide waist tab, seams, and knee detail. Excited to upgrade in my ANOVOS set.
Belt: Ordered off Etsy
Boots: The screen accurate boots are Veronica Frye boots. They are EXPENSIVE. I managed to tool around and find them for $40 on Poshmark in a different color. Stripped them of that color and dyed brown, with weathering. Created leather flaps, dyed and weathered, and attached to the newly dyed boots. Added 3D printed clips (just ordered the Jessica Lange ski boots for screen accurate clips to sew in).
Hair: Messy bangs and layers. I pretended to have this by clipping my hair back. Should be tied into a low bun in the back.
Hope this helps :) Lots of before and afters are on my Instagram, but the RPF is also wonderful if you actually know how to put something together rather than just modding! And I would recommend ANOVOS - I literally ordered it as well!
I LOVE MY BABY! I would love to get a cape for my daughter she loves dressing as a super hero. She has her own wishlist.
Good luck on the interview and thanks for the contest!
I've gifted 4 times but I haven't been gifted yet but if i were ever to be gifted I would want these sock's that look like Chell's outfit from Portal :)
Twelvity is my favorite made up word my husband and I say - We usually say it when forggeting what time we go into work. So - The definitions is "A time in which you are not aware of". ;) We are pretty smart people.
OMGOMGOMGOMG I really would LOVE to have this crocheted I just started doing newborn photography and I would really love to have this prop for an upcoming shoot! I would probably love it in white, the softer the yarn the better, as to not irritate the newborn's skin...I typically don't photograph a baby past 10 days.
Some funny shizz
I'm a fan of alliteration. We already have Fucking Linda from /u/madpiratebippy ... I'm sure she wouldn't mind another "Fucking" title. Fucking Felina is a entitled bitch. I can't believe she disappeared from Julian's life for like 20 goddamn years and then was like, "I'M BACK I'M YOUR MOTHER SHOW ME RESPECT AND LOVE ME GOD DAMMIT OR ELSE WHY WON'T YOU SHOW ME AFFECTION THOSE ARE MY GRANDKIDS YOUR WIFE IS A BITCH"... Like, Where the fuck do you get off, you trashy twat?
Your husband's wonderful cousin raised him and his sister, NOT Fucking Felina. She doesn't deserve a goddamn thing. I hope she never comes out of the room she's locked herself in.
How are the wittle Jedi? Look at this ADORABLE Jedi costume and this Leia costume. I've always found Star Wars baby stuff for my TEN nieces and nephews, so I'm obsessed with searching for this stuff (I bought a nephew a crocheted Yoda hat with ears). They'll fit right into the just in time for next Halloween! I don't know how you'd feel about giving a one year old a lightsaber, though...
You can probably get away with tan cargo pants for Bane. Possibly glue knee pads to them (E6000 is like super glue. It requires a day to cure but sturdier than hot glue. Use in a ventilated area.)
Depending on budget, time, and handiness, buy a green suit and paint the question marks (fabric paint or fabric marker). Props start at $25 and suits range from $50-150. If you're talking about Jim Carrey's Riddler then the only way to make a onesie look slightly less cheap is to tailor it to be more fitted. A morph suit might be a better fit if you paint the question marks on it.
There's a few Heath Ledger Joker costumes on Amazon too. (COSSHOW The Dark Knight Joker Costume Set Shirt Vest Tie Gloves Overcoat Suit Halloween Costume (Full suit, S) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V5FQH6K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Q-eJDbDG2ZP7K) (Adult Mens Knight Clown Costume Shirt Vest Tie Outfit Suit Set Fancy Dress Up Halloween Cosplay Props (Large, Shirt Vest Tie Set) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D6LVSGT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rbfJDb6P7TFGD).
The thrift shop idea is helpful. If you have the general costume pieces in similar colours, people will know your character. Say you can only get Heath Ledger's purple coat. You can find a shirt, vest, and tie in similar colors/patterns.
Edit: just ran across procosplay.com and cosmanles.com for Heath Ledger's Joker.
Not only am I a sock lover, but I'm a zombie lover and a portal lover.
Sssoooccckkksss :)
i'm gonna use it as a clutch instead of a bouquet - we are having a lil chapel wedding and then going to a theme park after for the "reception" so i'll wear it in the cool crossbody fashion then. i didn't do a lot of wedding research but i did see a bridesmaid pack with a bunch of clutches instead of flowers and was like OMG. it's gonna be real low key and fun so i thought the smiley face was perfect!

i'll send you a pic when it all goes down if you want. june 20th!
Thanks for the contest!! I'd love this Merida costume from my Disney trip wishlist!! She is munchkin's favorite princess and I'd love for her to be able to wear this when we visit the princesses!!
https://etsy.me/33TcyiO here is a great shop I got my suit at. Very quick shipping, awesome communication/customer service.

Here are the shoes, amazing quality. I’ll get a lot of non-cosplay use from these.

And finally I used Mehron brand white cream paint, and Mehron brand red and blue grease paints for the face.
Ok i looked into it.
Here you go with the cheapest light thats pretty usable for that price range:
Buy Vero29SE Gen7 COB @ 3500K
Thats about 18€
Then u need the correspondig driver
costs: 16€
Now you need clams and cables:
clams: 9€
cables: 2,5€
Wallplug: 7,50€
Cooler:: 7,50€
Were now at 60€ for a pretty neat 50W single cob light.
you might need another power source for the cooler and some thermal glue or screws and some heatdissipating paste.
Its as easy as to build a PC.

Like this?
Another post said you've got three kiddos, is the other one older?
I can't stand Frozen, however... kiddo loves it and it's one song he sings and every girl with blonde hair is Elsa.
Make a wish list please.
Depends where the break in the wire is. If it's somewhere accessible, there are a million different styles of connector that don't needs solder (like this). If it's under a cable wrap, then yeah, it'll probably best to cut it, strip it, and solder it back together.
When you're replacing the part cooling fan, make sure it has 3 wires. It's the same deal for that fan - the third wire is for telling the printer how fast its spinning. Lots of shady listings show 3 wire images (ripped off the Prusa website), then sell 2 wire fans.

Du möchtest NICHT an nem eingeschalteten Stromkreis basteln.
