The wooden table under the TV is too short and it is a different color pallet compared to the rooms theme. Maybe a black shelf or something that’s neutral color.
Also, lighting is a pretty important factor. I would look into some basic LEDs along the half wall, behind the TV, and/or a nifty lamp that can extend over the couch. Kind of like something like this lamp maybe.. idk
Great rug! I saw in the comments that you are willing to get rid of the big chair, I think that it would be best to do so. The furniture is too big for the space. Below I put some links for chair suggestions. I also saw that you want lighting suggestions so also put pairings together.
I would also suggest maybe painting the wall behind the couch to help make it pop. If you do get rid of the chair, the couch you need to center on the wall along with the coffee table and have a chair or two in the other side on an angle to it can be a more social space.

I love my potted ferns. Asparagus ferns and Boston ferns do well in my house. I don't have a lot of direct sunlight, my windows are shaded and mostly facing north. They like indirect sunlight. If it's very dark inside, get them a full spectrum light, like this.
I like the twinkle lights around the door but may I suggest a floor lamp (or similar) should you decide to replace them. Otherwise, nice work, cheers!

I went to the store (Ocean State Job Lot) today and they had a 12x18 marble pastry board for $12!! It has a broken off rubber foot so they gave me it for $10 (I'll use some epoxy to put the foot back on) which was awesome. A slightly smaller I've was around $30 on Amazon. Shopping win!
 
But then use went to the dollar store specifically to get cupcake wrappers and I totally forgot to get them. I did get some small bowls 4/$1 that will be good for mixing frosting colors though.

Get a longer table, stay with wooden. That little one looks out of place. A longer one would make the room feel wider too.

I have a 4moms pack n play/bassinet in my room for at first but hoping to get him in here ASAP! Now that the room is mostly complete I'm twiddling my thumbs sterilizing pinkies, getting supplies for padcicles, etc.
Maybe something like this pointed out the window? The camera has motion detection which will send you an alert on your phone. Video is recorded so you can see who set it off walking to the porch, even if the camera can't see someone standing at the door.
Sorry if this seems like I'm trying to push a product, I'm really not. Just want to find a workaround so you can be comfortable in your home.
Keep with the mid century modern get a nice tall lamp 1 or 2 and side table on each side.
Two big prints on the back would add a lot of depth, don't go over board with colors. i really like the Japanese style 1 and 2 with the mid century.

Even though it doesn't look quite as good, I put it more or less along the wall and only hit it if throw my arms around. I added a diffuser to the bottom of the shade, it was a little harsh otherwise.
