Some brands are definitely better than others, and their texture can range from kinda waxy to crunchy. While the color palette is a bit muted, the rainbow mix from India Tree is pretty nice, and there's a site called Fancy Sprinkles that has a great assortment of jimmies with a nice crunch.

As DirkDUS pointed out, you can also make your own! It's a bit of work, but super fun because you can add whatever type of flavor or extract you prefer, I love the extract selection at Silver Cloud Estates.

How cute! I would suggest checking Pinterest for ideas (that’s my biggest tip). I have stumbled across these on Amazon, hopefully they can help.

I don’t know if this helps at all, but https://www.heroesplusultra.com/product-category/hero-shows-anime-cartoon/my-hero-academia-toys/ has an Ochako costume (though I’m not sure if it has it in youth sizes).

I’ll add anything else I stumble across. Best of luck of with the party!

Gold plated food isn't completely outrageous. You can buy the gold leaf and gold flakes on Amazon. If you're using one sheet per desert, it is only adding $2/desert (they're big enough for individual servings, 3"x3").

The problem is this sundae is just add whatever expensive shit together without any coherence. It's not expensive because it's good, it's expensive because it has expensive ingredients. The gold adds nothing. Those chocolates aren't going to be good in ice cream because the cold changes the texture, and they are meant to be eaten on their own. And caviar? I mean I like caviar but give me a fucking break. Even if you omit the salt it still tastes like fucking fish.

If I'm spending a grand for a sundae I want some hand churned ice cream from the cream of a well fed cow, in house candied fruit, chocolate syrup made with really good chocolate, etc. Use gold flake sprinkles on it not a big solid chocolate leaf flower that probably tastes like ass.

That sundae reminds me of Trump's living room. Lot of random expensive gold plated shit just to look like something poor people imagine rich people like.

Every year for Halloween my gf and I make apple cider jello shots - use fireball whiskey and apple pucker for the flavoring, regular gelatin to make it. Always goes over well. You can also make a simple cocktail: lemonade with your favorite flavor vodka (we do blueberry), black food coloring and lots of edible glitter. It makes a black, shiny "witch's brew" that looks great in a pitcher for our annual party!

Thanks!

I use Rolkem Super Gold and mix it with either vanilla or lemon extract to make a painty-paste type stuff. The key is to mix it with alcohol (extracts are alcohol based) but I think vodka or everclear might even work better, as soon as I take a trip to the liquor store that’ll be my first choice, but for now, extracts are what I have on hand lol. The alcohol evaporates quickly leaving the shine without melting your icing.

Even a good cocobolo rub stick is helpful. But really, Tylose/CMC is amazing. It sets up harder and glossier than gum tragacanth. To whatever extent that there are any tricks or secrets I've figured out, this is my greatest.

  1. How the what in where?!?!?!?
  2. I have this bondage kit and I adore it. I use everything except the blindfold. The cuffs are super comfy and the pink makes it so kawaii!
  3. "Squirt cock" - It "jizzes". WHY?? Jizz is gross. I'm sure fake jizz is even more gross. The cool thing about dildos is that they don't squirt nasty baby juice everywhere.
  4. I have an NSFW list. Surprise me!
  5. Frosting to frost yourself like a cake and have your lover lick off. Ew? Yum? I don't know.
  6. Happy early birthday!

Have you ever tried Fondarific? It actually tastes pretty good, and it's much easier to work with than the Wilton stuff you find in stores. The first time I used it, I was like "Where have you been all my life?!"

u/youreillusive · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I don't know where to find the apple-pear syrup! I was just asking my S.O. what the brand was that we had and he can't remember. I was trying to find it via google and amazon but I can't :\ He says his google search made him think it's only sold in Belgium and the Netherlands :\ I can find them separately, as just apply syrup or just pear syrup, but not combined :(

The magical something is chocolate sprinkles! It's called hagelslag. The best brand, in my opinion, is De Ruijter and you can buy it [here] (http://www.amazon.com/Deruyter-Chocoadehagel-Chocolate-Sprinkles-14-Ounces/dp/B001BBUA3Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381087992&sr=8-1&keywords=hagelslag) or also at specialty European stores. I bought it from a German store in San Francisco, for example :)

u/WhoYouCallinAPinhead · 2 pointsr/cakedecorating

Thanks :) Yes of course! It was Sprinklepop brand, I got them on amazon because I was in a crunch, but they’re perfect. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FS936T5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

u/yeep9 · 15 pointsr/worldnews

I made it from this and that with gimp and it's glorious "Color to alpha" function.

But I'm interested in making them IRL maybe using this, that and those.

Edit: Thanks for this, makes me feel that and vive la France!

u/joec_95123 · 3 pointsr/mildlyinteresting

An ordinary can of Duncan Hines whipped frosting has 12 oz of frosting inside, while these ones have 14 oz. So for whatever reason for the extra height, whether it's beneficial in some way like the air in a bag of chips or it's just to make it look bigger, you're still getting exactly what you were promised. Actually, you're getting more than promised. You're getting 16.67% more frosting.

u/gethypedforTJ · 5 pointsr/Netherlands

'Insert STROOPWAFEL comment here'

But aside from those, hagelslag is a good one, or maybe 'beschuit met muisjes' (traditional anise/sugary sprinkles eaten on a 'beschuitje' when a child is born, blue for a boy and pink for a girl)
And if you can get them, bitterballen!

Edit: Formatting

PS: Licorice (drop) is also a really good one, for some reason us Dutchies and the Finnish seem to be the only ones that really like it...?
Also, TIL drop is insanely expensive on amazon in the US...

Titty Sprinkles (for the cure!)

) Thanks for the contest! :)
u/[deleted] · 6 pointsr/Baking

If you can find candy bones, you could bake chocolate cupcakes with them inside (something like this or this). Then use green frosting to make it look like grass. You could make white chocolate dinosaurs (colored of course) to put on top as well. There are molds if you want to put a limit on the sugar intake for the bones.

You could also decorate them with easter candy eggs, and pretend that they are baby dinosaurs.

u/Kookalka · 1 pointr/Baking

Add a little bit of CMC powder into the fondant. It helps it harden faster. I like this one from Amazon. I’m not sure what your options are after you’ve already shaped the flowers besides just more time and/or using them without fully drying. Good luck!

u/xoxkittyskye · 2 pointsr/Baking

I haven't tried it myself personally, but it looks like there are printable 'frosting sheets' like these from Amazon. You can also buy edible ink to print with!

u/Cupcake_Kat · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I would love these sprinkles since Halloween is coming up soon my cutie cricket : )

u/lemonsquarez · 3 pointsr/cookiedecorating

I buy this brand from Amazon. I've experimented with frosting sheets versus (the much cheaper) wafer paper and found that the quality is worth the price for the frosting sheets. They have such better color retention and image clarity than wafer paper does.

i think netherlands has america beat in crazy sweets for breakfast with stuff like real chocolate fuckin' sprinkles on toast

Because if you go looking for edible gold dust, this is what you find:

http://www.amazon.com/Oasis-supply-Lustre-Egyptian-Super/dp/B0000VLH8S

http://www.amazon.com/Aztec-Luster-grams-Decorating-DP-05/dp/B00PR4BQ8Y

http://www.amazon.com/Pharaohs-Luster-grams-Decorating-DP-03/dp/B015RW117G

Now if you have any doubt that those are not made of actual elemental gold, look at the price. $6-$8 for 2 grams. Even if you were talking 10k gold, at today's market price, that would be $30 for 2 grams, except that's at ounce rates, and then the cost of milling, manufacturing, packaging, and upsell for profit, would bring it to about $60-$100 for 2 grams of just 10 karat gold.

So why would anybody use real gold dust, when they can just as easily get away with using something that's 1/10th the price, because nobody could possibly tell the difference in the amounts used?

u/Dd7990 · 2 pointsr/bettafish

Hmm... I found a set of figurines/cake toppers, maybe that'll work? I'd just quarantine-soak em first for a week to make sure no paint would leech off or peel off... https://www.amazon.com/Birthday-CUPCAKE-Featuring-Decorative-Accessories/dp/B01N33GOH4/ref=sr_1_2?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1502371233&sr=1-2&keywords=studio+ghibli+toppers
(I wouldn't use the tree cake toppers though, they look a bit too pokey for use with betta)

u/blatantdisregard · 1 pointr/TheWayWeWereOnVideo

I think this is still a common thing. Keep in mind this is real chocolate, not whatever sprinkles are made of in the States.
