"Simmer Down" is ska from about '64. There are a bunch of 60's ska CDs out there but be careful because many, especially the compilations, have overlapping tracks. Here are some examples:
"Harder They Come" is early reggae from about '72. Between ska and reggae was a style called rock steady that was sort of like slow ska. Most ska CDs will have at least a few rock steady songs mixed in too. It's a little later than the time period of "Harder They Come" but the best selling reggae record of all time is Bob Marley - Legend and it's worth checking out if you're not familiar with it. Here are some examples of early reggae:
The Dualers - "Palm Trees and 80 Degrees" - CD / LP (Sunbeat Records)
Release Date: July 26th 2019 – TODAY !!!
The Dualers release a new album of 14 original tracks that cover the full range of Jamaican based music with a little bit of Jazz and Blues added for good measure. With influences throughout from the Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae greats of the 1960’s and 70’s this album is perfect for a celebration of Summer. From their humble origins of busking on the streets of South-East London, Kent and Essex in 1997, the Dualers have grown and continue to grow appealing to fans and families of all ages. The Dualers, led by the distinct crisp vocals of Tyber Cranstoun, take you with them on the next stage of their journey with an immediate feelgood factor from the opening track into your own world of complete satisfaction from upbeat dancing to easy listening and chillin out. This album is suitable for everyone with its haunting rhythms, smooth melodies and hypnotic bass lines. Play it at a BBQ and you will have them all up and dancing...

For the Skatalites and original Jamaican ska specifically, there're a lot of excellent Studio One compilations. I like Foundation Ska a lot.
Also check out Stretching Out, the live recording from the Skatalites reunion in early 80s, pretty much the whole original lineup. A lot of accomplished ska musicians point to this album as a huge influence mainly because the recording is so good and you can pick up the rhythm and style a lot better than any of the original studio stuff, which was all mono and generally one mic in a room.
Have you heard ALL of the albums from Me First and the Gimme Gimmes? The have 6 studio albums, 1 live album, 1 compilation of b-sides, and 3 EPs in their discography.
Once you've exhausted that, check out some NOFX. Here's two of my favorites...
NOFX - White Trash Two Heebs & A Bean
NOFX - So Long & Thanks for All the Shoes
If you like silly punk music and amazing covers, check out The Dickies.
If you want to check out some ska-punk, give Rancid a listen. ...And Out Come the Wolves is a good place to start.
If you want to check out some great punk with a female vocalist, Sing Sing Death House from The Distillers is pretty amazing.

|name|The English Beat|
|about artist|The Beat, known in the United States as The English Beat (and the British Beat in Australia and New Zealand) in order to avoid confusion with Paul Collins' band of the same name, was a popular Two Tone ska and pop music group. Formed in the English city of Birmingham in 1978, The Beat disbanded in 1983, but has reformed in the early 2000s with some of the original line-up. One of the more popular and enduring groups of a short-lived trend... ([more on last.fm](http://www.last.fm/music/The English Beat))|

Great song. The Specials did a good cover of this; I couldn't find it on youtube, so you'd have to get their Today's Specials CD to hear it. They gave it a much stronger sound than the original.
The Peep Show is a sit-com following two flat-mates who are essentially polar opposites, and yet are friends. It follows their antics, and self centered attempts at one upping the other.
I'm not sure. That is a good question, I know Doc Martin is, but the rest I am unsure of. I have Jeeves and Wooster on DVD, and the Mitchell and Webb stuff I watched at a friends house. Oh yeah! I really really want it!
Also here are the links I forgot to do. One and Two.
I'm going to pick 5 great albums, and for the most part they represent my favorites, but these will be somewhat more accessible than other stuff I could dig up. Sorry for the US links, but I didn't want to presume too much. I figure you'll be downloading from elsewhere anyway.
This is going to be combination ska/rocksteady/reggae, because sometimes the lines aren't so clear.
Skatalites - Guns of Navarone/Best of (absolutely essential)
The Slackers - The Question (youngish guys playing old styles)
Tim Armstrong (with the Aggrolites) - A Poet's Life (Rancid's singer backed by the incredible Aggrolites)
Chris Murray - Yard Sale (One man band. my favorite song of all time is Let There Be Peace)
Slapstick - Slapstick/25 Songs (third wave, kinda punky stuff)

I thought Sublime held up pretty well.
And there's a new album!
Hey! The album this was off of was "Today's Specials" and it is currently out of print. I don't know if the label went under or if there is a lot of crazy legal rules around it, but that's why it isn't on any MP3 purchase sites. Oddly, while I finally found a listing for it on Amazon, it only came up when I searched for the album name, not as part of the list of albums that the Specials have made/appeared on. Here's a link to get the CD used or pay an exorbitant price for a new one. Hope this helps!
Second CD purchased. I loved it so much I got their self-titled which is many times better, IMO. Also, there was a picture of Gwen Stefani in the liner notes of her with brown hair. I can't find it but I still think it's the sexiest photo of her I've ever seen.
EDIT Here it is.
Says sold by newbury comics. You might get lucky and get the blue/white
