What a practical contest!

I think one of the pairs of scrubs would be the most helpful to me. I work as a veterinary technician in the surgery room at our animal hospital, and I'm always in need of a clean new pair of scrubs. Various bodily fluids.... I won't go into it. It gets nasty in there. But I love my job :-)

My favorite color today is BLUE! I think my favorite color changes every day. I'm feeling a happy shade of blue today.

Thanks for the contest, and a big WELCOME to the sub! You're gonna love it here. I can tell.

Dickies You-tulity Gen-Flex (dumb name, awesome scrubs) are the best scrubs, imo. Flexible, breathable, wear well, tons of pockets. They're not stiff and heavy like normal dickies. Check em out. Tops and bottoms, mens and womens fits, tons of colors. My favorite part is that they are breathable even on days I am running all over campus.

I like this coat from amazon. This is the ladies version, but there is a mens too. I love that the pockets are big enough to fit a white coat clipboard, so I'm sure they'd also fit an ipad mini. It's also a pretty lightweight coat, and has a bunch of inside pockets too.

I'm a few inches taller than you and I have these in medium petite. They fit perfectly and that huge pocket works for my stethoscope. Then I use a shirt like this for everything else I need. I fit an astounding amount of items on my person at any given time and I have yet to lose something. I keep everything I'll need for clinicals/lab in a bag like this when I'm not using it. I throw the bag in my backpack the night before so I don't forget it and I load up my pockets when I get to the hospital.

I wear these: https://www.amazon.com/Cherokee-Womens-Maternity-Pull-Waist/dp/B00UXYLMT6

They are really comfortable. Maybe a little thin (not in looks but in feel) but have been fine in a fairly cold Seattle winter. For me they run pretty true to size, a bit big in the bump area but not enough to fall or roll down. And so comfy!

I prefer dickies too, and they’re cheap! I’m 5’2, 125 pounds, small chested, and wear size xs for the top, but a size small for the bottoms because I notice they do shrink a little in the laundry.

I tried them in the store but ordered more on amazon. There’s plenty of colors too

Don't leave us hanging -- what brand are they??

My Dickies are currently my favorites, but they only have seven pockets. I'm almost dizzy from imagining what great things I could accomplish with three more pockets.

I bought Cherokee maternity pants from Amazon in black, then got tops from Walmart. They aren't specifically maternity tops, but they have stretchy side panels. The tops come in different colors, but the side panels are all black, so they all go with black pants and I didn't have to buy very many sets. I hate spending a lot of money on maternity clothes..

I'm on mobile now but can provide links later if you'd like. I wore medium before getting pregnant, and got medium in both. Bottoms have some room to grow into, tops are fitting fine at 27 weeks and still have a lot of "give" in the stretchy part. The other consideration for me is I'm 5'1", so the Cherokee pants come in petite sizes.

EDIT: Pants

For shits and giggles, my hospital administrators like to toss around the idea of forcing nurses to go back to wearing all white. I was in a scrub store one day looking around and noticed Smitten, maker of my absolute favorite scrub bottoms (cargo pockets on both sides = true love), makes their Amplify and Hottie scrub pants in white, and they're actually pretty thick. They weren't fully immune to see-through, but I do believe that with a good pair of skin-colored undies, you wouldn't notice anything at all.

The aforementioned favorite-pants-ever!

I just don't fold over the top part and the pants stay really high and comfortable. They also work well as maternity pants.

For reference, I am 6'0" 185lbs. Muscular build

I was looking at this https://www.amazon.com/Greys-Anatomy-7446-Missy-White/dp/B001E4YSHC/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t

But it is for women so I'm not sure what size I'd get. So far this coat looks like has the best quality for its price. If the sleeves were too short it wouldn't even matter because Kukui rolls his sleeves up.

u/sis_RN · 1 pointr/nursing

These are my other lifesavers! They have this thick soft stretchy waist band with a drawstring inside Med Couture Women's Comfort Collection Pant, Royal, X-Large https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003A8V2GA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_oQDAxbNJRJ6P9 hands down my favorite scrub pants

u/klc88 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

This and This would be absolutely amazing. I only have one pair of scrubs and I can't afford any more. They can get pretty dirty as you can imagine. (both in small)

u/IHateDolphins · 5 pointsr/BabyBumps

This is my absolute favorite top and these are my all-time favorite bottoms. We have to wear navy, and these two are close enough in color that no one notices they're different brands. I am insanely picky in my scrubs, especially regarding pockets.

u/eziern · 1 pointr/nursing

I just got these cargo pants that I like, and I think they'll work with a belt for some of my stuff... but was going to see if there was something better.

Wonderwink. These aren't maternity. I just roll the band up over my belly. I do wish the legs had more stretch. But my belly isn't squished which is nice.

u/baby_chicken · 1 pointr/DecemberBumps2016

I will! I can tell you definitely don't buy these. Absolutely horrible. They're like windpant material. Yuck.
