i had a similar set up in a previous kitchen except my cabinets were not warm cinnamon, but were a warm cream. In anycase I think something similar could work here. You want something that's not going to compete with the variations in the granite countertop and I think the ledgestone, while pretty, might do that.
how about a linear glass mosaic? You'll have to play around a bit with colors and get samples.

Also, consider your kitchen lighting. It might be a good idea to change the bulbs if possible to a whiter color so you can really see the tones of the materials you choose (for example 3k vs 2700).
