I was originally anti-veil, but when they showed me the dress with the veil at the salon I buckled. I got my dress from BHLDN and was able to find a similar dress to the one that they placed on me. I ordered from amazon after stalking many reviews with pictures. If I don't like it, I'll return it (this one says that returns are allowed).

You can also find cheaper ones (<$20) on Amazon! I bought this one (pencil edge, not raw), but you can also search for raw edge veils!

I started here, but there's ton's of guides out there if you google DIY veil. There's also lots of veils for really cheap on Amazon. I'm going to start with tulle because it was only $1.77 for way too much at the fabric store, and if it looks weird I'll buy one off Amazon.

I'm glad I tried on veils when I tried on my dress because it gave me an idea of what looked good. I want to try beading the edge but I'm fully aware that may drive me insane. I'm normally pretty good with tedious sewing patterns so we'll see how it ends up (I need to finish knitting my wedding wrap first...)
