  • Spare engine belt
  • Assorted tools (Sockets in 3/8, 1/2 drive (plus T30-T50 torx bits, wobble sockets, extensions), mallet, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.)
  • Tire plug kit and jack/lug removal tool, valve cores, valve stems (plus removal tool), ether (starting fluid), stick lighter
  • Air compressor (even a cheap one from Walmart will do)
  • Jumper cables or jump pack
  • Engine oil, tranny fluid, t-case fluid, diff fluid, coolant and distilled water, washer fluid, brake fluid, funnel
  • RTV, JB Weld, brake clean, wd-40, super glue, duct tape, bailing wire, ratchet straps, zip ties
  • Fuses, wire in multiple gauges, test light or voltmeter, wire strippers, electrical tape
  • Flashlight plus extra batteries/headlamp, triangular road flares, hi-viz vest
  • Radiator hoses
  • Food, water, blanket, earplugs (it'll get noisy after a while), paper towels, baby wipes
  • First aid kit
    • Band-aids
    • Medical tape
    • 3x3 / 4x4 gauze pads

        You can't predict every failure, but this will fix most major issues enough to get you to a shop or a safe place to work. Give the Jeep a once over, front to back, left to right. Drive it at highway speeds for 30 minutes and source out any shakes, squeaks, rattles, buzzes, etc.
