There was also probably booze in the globe you were spinning.
I got this off a neighborhood resale/posting website. He posted it 40 mins prior to me messaging him and I got it first. He told me when we picked it up that 6 people had messaged him about it after I had. :) I'll be using it to store my paints since I don't drink. Pic of the art on the inside. I found it on Amazon and it's worth $149.99.
You too can have this:

Slightly cheaper on amazon
When picking out a gift for /u/genius_waitress I saw this globe bar, which is the most interesting thing I've seen on a wishlist. I fell in love with it immediately because I'm obsessed with globes (and love alcohol) and it went straight to my wishlist! I will own it one day. One day in the not so near future, but it's going to happen.
I have a similar one

Thanks for the reply, I found it here : http://www.amazon.com/Sixteenth-Century-Italian-Replica-Globe-Bar/dp/B001MA1W8G
OP said it's also a mini bar! I think this one is probably the same/ close.
You could always toss a little liquor cabinet/globe thing across from the chair in option 1.
Edit: Boom
Aside from the complete translated works of Oksanen and Tammsaare, 1st print editions of Hemingway, Orwell, Rand (I know), and Huxley, it would need a Drink Globe.
I bought a set of china for like $40 from a thrift store several years before I got married. It's really pretty and I use it when we have 'fancy' dinners (we sometimes do xmas or easter or something at my house with a bunch of family - I bought a set of 'complimentary' (plain white) dishes and alternate if we have too many people). And we have our normal plates and bowls and stuff that came from Target or wherever when we moved in together that we use daily. We didn't register for any dinnerware. Instead we registered for this: http://www.amazon.com/Design-Toscano-Sixteenth-Century-Italian-Replica/dp/B001MA1W8G
Either the Galactic Titan lego set that keeps eluding me, or this
No, you need this globe: http://www.amazon.com/Sixteenth-Century-Italian-Replica-Globe-Bar/dp/B001MA1W8G
