Primers: academy sells cci small pistol primers $4 per 100

Powder: $20 per 1lb at academy do research to find what type you want

Bullets: $30 per 250-300 at academy, I like the horandy frontier lead stuff. Or buy prefluxed lead on the reloading exchange. And melt your own.

Well, first off you are never going to find the exact amount of lead that you shoot, there's going to be some loss.

Secondly there are types of bullets, some are suitable for lead cast and some are not. Pistol ammunition, for example, is generally suitable for lead cast bullets, while many modern rifle cartridges use lead bullets with a copper jacket.

While not impossible, I think making jacketed bullets at home is significantly more rare than people who just do lead cast.

As for the equipment for making your own bullets. Eh, it's not bad at all. Lead has a very low melting point so it doesn't take much to actually melt it down. A DIYer could prob make their own little furnace setup for less money (or perhaps for the same price but larger) Molds aren't exactly expensive either.
