I'm in your same situatiion simply in europe. I just got one of those supercheap adapters (the EU version of course). It works normally.

Long version:
The Matebook charger (like 99.99999999% of the chargers) is developed for a range between 100 and 240 Volts for 50 and 60hz. This means that the charger is the same worldwide, simply the plug physically differs. So if you use an adapter will work just fine. Buying another charger is more expensive but it will allow you to have a physically smaller solution since you don't need to carry around charger and adapter. Personally i have a charger with an adapter and it is working totally fine since 7 months.
