alright here goes my exhaustive list of stuff that goes into my preworkout! i love to research the stuff that works, and then experiment to see how effectively they work for me, especially on keto.

currently experimenting with:
phew! making this list made me realize how much time and effort i put into the trial and error of my preworkout. of course, i supplement a lot of this stuff with my other meals as well. as you can see, i'm very big on supplements, biohacking, and nootropics. i read up a lot on research in my spare time.
I use MiCkey T Eight oil and I like it quite a bit, never tried any powders.
MiCkey T Eight
I use Mickey T 8 - cheapest C-8 MCT I could find on amazon. There are a lot of other 'MCT Oils' on there, but I was looking for predominantly c-8.
Mickey 8 is great IMO. Also never had an issue with bottling or quality, or anything (and if there was, I know amazon would sort it out). Link below

I also bought a little squeeze bottle so I could easily put the right amount of MCT in.

ECA is probably the most effective OTC regimen, so add ephedra if you want a boost. Also some people use Yohimbe in a fasted state, and you can combine it with caffeine or ephedra, though be careful.
Otherwise, diet is the key to weight loss. If you can fast or eat in a consistent deficit, that's how you'll drop weight the quickest. So I might look for no/low calorie things that curb your appetite. Ephedra and caffeine both curb my appetite. I've also found having ~200 kcal of MCT oil blended up in coffee for breakfast keeps me full well past lunch, compared to ~500 kcal of oatmeal or something, so replacing meals with something like that might be something to look into. I use this mct oil. Drinking lots of water, and particularly ice water, usually suppresses my appetite when I'm hungry.

Both are good and won't give you disaster pants.
I use this MCT oil and mix it with this Cromollient to make it emulsify in water. Use 90% oil and 10% cromollient.
If you haven't read this already, you'll find it interesting. Basically the punchline is that if you're glycogen depleted to a significant extent, the majority of the glucose in your system will go toward glycogen replenishment. You can use that to your advantage to time carb intake. I'm not sure that there will be a major difference between glycogen stored and increased serum glucose.
My guess is you could stand to eat a few carbs and not cycle in and out of ketosis, as long as you're getting enough cardio in on top of your other workouts. I've been doing Keto for about three months now, and I'm a climber. I was really interested at in how keto would affect my climbing performance since climbing relies heavily on the phosphogen and the glycolytic systems. Initially my performance did suffer during adaptation. Once I was fat adapted I haven't noticed much of an impact on my climbing ability. I'd be willing to bet that with a little bit more training you'll be able to crank out 50 PU again after your muscles adapt to using more ketones.
As for fuel, I highly recommend the C8 oil that is on the market now. This stuff is the most ketogenic component of MCT oil. I've used this stuff and I feel great when working out. Careful though, it'll lubricate your guts even more than MCT. I take mine in bulletproof coffee, half butter, half C8 and about a tbsp of powdered lecithin.
Thanks for all the feedback. I'll look into the brands you listed. In the mean time, I stumbled on this gem on Amazon: [MiCkey T Eight 100% Pure C-8 Caprylic Acid] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RUCHISS/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_Zh8mxb0P32ZGW). Anyone have experience with this brand?
The marketing is sketchy as fuck, but it gets good reviews on that site and some others I've checked out. It looks to be a similar formulation to Brain Octane (mostly C8), but unlike Bulletproof Exec, these guys actually display their COA loudly and proudly.
