I also made a acrylic outer border to hold it in place.
It is powered through micro usb and hdmi for video.

3ft gave me enough slack to work in the H700i.
P.S. Also if you have a NZXT usb header hub installed already, it's perfect for the to keep the power cable in case. One less cable sticking out the back.

Is this happening in DV display modes? I've found that even cables that are generally 4k can be borderline at these high rates. A friend who does display testing claims you can't go by the marketing or price to know you've got good cable. He recommended these to me:
