I took a shot on a 1660Ti MSI Ventus for $212 shipped. Need a mainstream card for my cousins PC build as my old XFX 580 8GB I was saving artifacts like crazy now.
I'd say RTX 1660 TI https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1660-Ti/dp/B07N824KNV/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=rtx+1660&qid=1563303111&s=gateway&sr=8-1

Should be around 550, but if it goes over your budget get a Ryzen 5 2600 , or you can downgrade the gpu and get a XFX Radeon RX 580 https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-1386MHz-Graphics-RX-580P8DFD6/dp/B06Y66K3XD/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=amd+gpu&qid=1563303407&s=gateway&sr=8-1
MSI Gaming 1660Ti $330.

It's not bad. at this price it's better to get this over 1660 Super.
The stock ryzen cooler is good enough, you should also get some cheaper ram (thats quite an rgb tax). You Might be able to bump up your cpu or gpu performance (ie 3600). Also there are cheaper versions of the 1660ti

This 1660Ti probably your best bet if you have Air Miles, else this 1660S.
Please ask in the daily thread next time, rather than making a post.
I replied to someone last night about this as well but it does seem up for me still.

edit: I see why you might not be seeing it. Amazon will show whomever has stock available first sometimes if they are temporarily out of stock. You just need to change the seller to Amazon.ca.
This or the MSI Gaming TI from Amazon ? https://www.amazon.ca/GeForce-GTX-1660-Ti-OC/dp/B07N824KNV/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=msi+1660+ti&qid=1575086472&smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&sr=8-1 ( + reward points and what not bringing it down to 300 and also includes free shipping.
No no if your system is running like it is, your memory and cpu are fine. Time for a new card brother. Happy to help btw!

I reaally didn't expect this to blow up while I was asleep. I appreciate everyone with the same sentiments. Alright. I've read your comments. I'm going to address all the common stuff.
If anyone cares about my pc specs and the game settings I used I'll list them at the bottom of this comment <3

I actually lol'd at these. I have the best wifi where I live at 70mbps download. It's pretty damn expensive, but I use my computer a lot. Homework, games, youtube, etc., so ultimately it's super worth it. I have spectrum and I live on the west coast. This means that the game is constantly at 80 ping. No, I don't use an ethernet cord. Mainly because I haven't found the time to route it through my house, and honestly I'm not really focused on that right now. My wifi works perfectly fine with everything else. But I mean yeah I guess you guys are right, I should just move to a different state./s

That's the joke homie.
What I'm referring to is the fact that after working $8/hr at a fast-food restaurant as a high school student and building a $1000+ computer solely for this game, shit like this still happens. Why does it happen? Because of bluehole's shitty servers and net-code. Something that is completely out of my control.

I enjoy this game. It's brought many good memories, and it keeps on bringin' 'em. I'm aware of all the downfalls it has. Trust me I'm more than 120% aware. Just because it's not your style, or it's hard, or the randomness gets to you, it doesn't mean it can't be fun for other people. I've got tired of this fucking game too. Many times lol. It's still enjoyable to me however, so I'll still play it.
My specs & game settings:
I used this gaming laptop up until roughly 800 hours.
CPU: Intel i7-8700 - Link (out of stock as of October/6/19)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3000 - Link
GPU: MSI Geforce 1660ti - Link
Motherboard: MSI Z-370 Pro - Link
Monitor: MSI Optix MAG 24" 144hz 1ms - Link
Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 650w 80+ Gold - Link
Storage: ADATA 2TB SSD Link
Fan and cooler are pretty easy to find.

Looks good besides one thing, the graphics card. The new 1660ti is just releasing and has the same performance as a 1070ti but at only $275-$320
Here’s an amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1660-Ti-OC/dp/B07N824KNV
Hey! Just wanted to say thanks for your help!! :). I ordered the parts today. The only switch I did was this video card instead. https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1660-Ti-OC/dp/B07N824KNV/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1551119291&sr=1-2&keywords=gtx+1660 . I super duper appreciate your help!!
1660 is slightly better between the two, and Rx580 looks way overpriced. Normally it sells for $179.
You can also pick up 1660 for $219 from Amazon. Or even better 1660Ti for $279.

How much better is this model than my 1050 ti?

$221 for 1660ti Usually $275 for a 1660ti
You could save $130 by acquiring Windows 10 a separate way and then put half of it into the GPU budget and buy this excellent deal (GTX 1660 Ti). The 1660 Ti is around 15 to 20% faster than the 590 and is more capable of achieving 60+fps.
Then put the other half of the $130 into a better keyboard for around $50-$60, you'll be glad you did. I recommend the Redragon K551-RGB at this price point. Redragon makes above average mechanical keyboards compared to the other companies at this price point. The blue switches are quite loud, fair warning.
The rest of the build looks solid to me. +1

This seems like a damn good deal. Would it be worth waiting to see if any other 1660 Super or Ti get to or below $300?
Not too bad. A few suggestions, feel free to take them or leave them.
Get a Ryzen 5 3600x. Amazon selling them now for super cheap and they come with borderlands or some other game I can't remember.
Lose the CPU cooler until some time that you need it. From what I hear, the stock cooler is sufficient.
Not sure why your GPU has that price. Check this link instead. I think it's the same card for cheaper:
https://www.amazon.ca/GeForce-GTX-1660-Ti-OC/dp/B07N824KNV/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?keywords=1660+ti&qid=1574980730&smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&sr=8-2
You might want to go with the 650w version of the PSU. Doesn't hurt to have a bit more headroom and 650w is a good middle ground for most people.
I'm thinking you could save some money on storage by getting a normal ssd. The nvme ones are cool and all, but at your budget I'd probably avoid it unless the price difference is negligible.
I'm looking at 1660Tis and came across this on Amazon.
In product information it says graphics coprocessor is GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. What does this mean? I have never heard of a coprocessor. Is this a mistake? If I get this, should I be worried that I get a 1060 instead of a 1660Ti?
Thank you.
there are so many "right" answers, for the games you listed at 1080p high-ultra settings I think a 3600 cpu would be plenty. for gpu i'll offer up the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1660-Ti/dp/B07N824KNV/ . for ram I'm using the cheap and popular Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0134EW7G8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 i know the prices will differ slightly but I think we're still inside the constraints of the budget. also sorry I didn't follow your intel request initially I replied too quickly.
In that case I would recommend the 1660 ti , but consider buying 16g of ram instead of 32 it’s not that bad and it will give you a wider range of gpus to choose from
Quit lying it's not $20 more on Amazon.
Oh pounds
I'm in the US here (not by choice)
What website are you finding these deals on?
I looked here, on ebay:https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=vega+56&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_BIN=1
I'm looking at 269 USD for a 1660ti:
https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1660-Ti/dp/B07N824KNV/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=1660ti&qid=1571690380&sr=8-3
MSI, EVGA and Asus all are good choices. Just make sure you don't go for a single fan version.
I personaly have some GTX 1660 Ti from MSI and I'm glad with it: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1660-Ti/dp/B07N824KNV/
Hey guys, my friend brought a used Dell XPS 8700 computer for her side hustle as photographer/videographer. She has budget of about $500 for upgrade. She wants to run Adobe suites, Color grading apps and some simple animation (text and such) with After effects, MS office apps, web browser, chat app (Skype/Discord). Ultimately she wants to have 3 monitors so she can run multiple apps at the same time.
I have software background, don't know much about hardware but I am the only "computer guy" she knows.
Its windows 10 machine and has Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz and other stock dell component.
I was thinking of suggesting upgrading these three
ASUS AC1200 Wireless Bluetooth 4.2 PCIe/Mpcie Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0713RRZMB/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_ykaIDb4ZDEE3W $34.99 (for faster Wi-Fi and Bluetooth because dell one is really bad)
Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D6E5JMQ/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_JYaIDbJZCAVQP $139.99 (more ram for multiple apps, it only supports DDR3 ram)
Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0781Z7Y3S/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_nlaIDbJWFPEJK $79.99 (for boot and installing program only, format and use the existing HD for storage)
But I am struggling with which graphic card to suggest, it has dell power supply (I think 460 watts, might be wrong, don’t have PC with me so can’t tell), NVIDIA GeForce GT 635 card which supports 3 monitor but really struggles with everything else.
Here are 3 graphic card that it say it works with 450w and has good reviews, but I don't know which one to suggest.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 OC 6G Graphics Card, 2X Windforce Fans https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P76G428/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_gnaIDbMGBH0AR $229.99
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Gaming OC 6G Graphics Card, 3X Windforce Fans https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P689CXR/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_WnaIDbQQBPCR8 $239.99
MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 192-bit HDMI/DP 6GB GDRR6 HDCP Support DirectX https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N824KNV/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_toaIDbNAYN7PV $279.99
Which graphic card do you think will work best? Do you guys have any other suggestion? Do you see a bottle neck or compatibility issues? Do you think that the best use of her money? It’s my first time messing with hardware and it is someone else money so I am really nervous. Thank you in advance for your help.
The 1660 Ti's about 10 FPS faster for the same price (sometimes less) than a 1660. Or if you can spend another ~$60 you can go for a 2060 and get another ~15 FPS.
I've been looking to do a ryzen build. I have most of my parts (Ryzen 5 2600X, G.SKILL Trident Z RAM, psu, case and storage). The only two left are the motherboard and the GPU.
Is a MSI B450 Tomahawk for the motherboard and an MSI GTX 1660 Ti good choices? I can currently get both on Amazon.com as I have some gift card balance on there (too bad I can't use that balance on amazon.ca).

Alright, so this is going to be around $800 after tax, but Cyberpunk 2077 @ 1080p Medium should be possible.

this is more expensive but churns out frames very well for its price point, but may be a bit much for your needs. this is a great value option if you want 60+ fps and good textures. This is a bit more expensive, but if you have any future interest in 3D rendering than this is your card, will perform a bit better than the 1050 ti.
here you can find the MSI GAMING 1660Ti around 398 AUD at amazon
If you're going with a 1080p 144hz monitor, why not just get the 1660ti? The MSI Ventus XS OC is only $45 more.
A good gaming setup for 582 leaving you with a little less than a thousand for the i9, motherboard, ram and maybe another fan.

I don't think this matters. If his budget is 400 dollars, he should really just spend the 400 dollars. No sense getting a worse card if he can afford it, then regretting it down the line if he gets a better monitor or something.I'd get a vega 56https://www.amazon.ca/RX-Vega-56-Boost-8G/dp/B078DZR5YK/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=vega+56&qid=1575067986&smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&sr=8-1

Some tryhard troll came and downvoted the thread. Ignore that. In any case your system looks like it would easily support a 1660 Ti no problem. Especially if your budget is around 300 dollars USD. The one I linked is a little bigger. If you have a normal sized ATX case you should be fine just keep that in mind if you have a really small case.
You can browse different 1660 Ti's here. Different price points and different websites to find the best deal etc.
