Seems a bit high considering you can get a new one for about $15 more.

Here are some used ones for lower.

Cherry MX Red or Black switches are considered by most to be the best mechanical switch for gaming. There are a few that have RGB backlighting, but they're expensive:

Not sure on what you mean by "dark films" but THIS is one of the most brutal movies I have ever seen. you can get it HERE.

And I am also a gamer. and I just got some new stuff for PC gaming.

Razer DeathAdder Chroma

Razer BlackWidow Chroma Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

I dont know what your budget is but the Keyboard Is so good! Its back lit and you can change the color of each key if you wanted too. HERE is a better look at it. and I know the headset you can use with a PS4 but I don't know about 3.The mouse is nice too! but if she is more of a console gamer that plays PC games I would look in to Razer Sabertooth (I know Im a razer fan boy) but there stuff works great! Im going to be looking it to getting me a Sabertooth soon too.

OR you can combined 2 things Like Russian shit + candy = THIS

Hope this helps! and thanks for the contest

You really don't deserve to be downvoted (at time of posting he's at -3). To anyone who isn't familiar with gaming peripherals, or mechanical keyboards it does seem outlandish. Anyways it's really not a uncommon price point for RGB mechanical keyboards. Here are a few of it's competitors black widow chroma, steel series apex m800, Corsair k70 RGB.

Looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard. Usage is 50% typing, 50% gaming (lots of both, but the gaming tends to be casual), typically with the keyboard in my lap while on a couch but sometimes on a desk. No experience so I'm sort of guessing about what i think i'll want, but here's everything I'm using to try to pick one...

  • price: $150 USD or less. Can go up to $200 for one that's clearly better than cheaper options, but hoping not to have to. I'm in the US, so price would include shipping there.
  • layout: TKL or 75%. Strongly desire something smaller than full-size. Use F keys and home/end/del/pUp/pDown frequently, so don't think 60% or smaller would be a good idea. Would be moved around a lot, so slimmer and lighter is better, but not to the point where it feels bad to use.
  • switches: big guess here. I know that I want quiet as possible, so no blues/greens/etc. Suspect that I'm a light typer, so probably lower activation switches? Briefly tried a Razer BlackWidow Chroma, Logitech g910, and Corsair K65 RGB with mx reds at Best Buy. Hated the Logitech (felt squishy), disliked the Razer (liked the bump but too loud, too firm, and the caps felt bad), and loved the Corsair (switches felt crisp, actuation pressure felt good). From this I'm guessing my ideal MX switches would be Browns, but I haven't actually tried any, much less for an extended period.
  • backlighting: flexible on this. Can live with none, but some would be nice since I often have to put my hand back on the keyboard in a dark room. Ideal would be the ability to turn it on/off per key with different profiles per game. Barring that, lighting WASD-only or in a different color from everything else would be nice. Color preference (in descending order) would go RGB, orange, blue, white, purple. Green or red I would probably just leave turned off.
  • cord: because of use on a couch, cord must be able to take some light abuse. Removeable cords that plug straight into the back are probably no good. Ones that are better sheltered (like this Choco Mini) should be OK. Standard non-removeable should be OK. Wireless could work, but would need to be reliably latency-free with no cutting in and out. Wireless seems rare so I've been ignoring it in favor of more important factors.
  • customizability: ability to switch caps lock with left control is a nice plus. Any further programmability is a small plus. I don't care at all about ability to replace keycaps right now unless it's required to turn a bad board into a good board and the price is factored in. If I get to a point in the future where I want to start playing with custom keycaps I'll buy a second board then. So non-standard bottom rows and things like that don't bother me.
  • style: don't want anything beige or white. Really like the brushed metal look of the Corsair K65/K70. Standard black plastic is fine, ideally matte rather than glossy.
  • misc: I've seen a couple with thumb buttons. This sounds great to me in theory, not sure how well I'd use them in practice. Counting this as a small plus right now.

    Some boards I was considering:

  • Royal Kludge RC930-87 RGB with 45g switches. Right now the top of my list. Fits price, layout, cord, style, close to ideal backlighting, more than necessary customizability, and from what little I've been able to find on it the 45g switches (dental banded Topre clones) should feel pretty good to someone who likes reds and browns. Main problem with it is having to wait 3 months to get it from MassDrop (but I want it noooooow!).
  • Roccat Ryos TKL Pro. Fits price, layout, cord, switches, backlighting, customizability, and has extra thumb buttons (which sound great to me in theory, but dunno how much I'll like them in practice). Sort of fails in style (looks kind of ugly to me, and the sides and back seem unnecessarily bulky for a form factor that's supposed to be trying to save space, although the wrist rest is actually a small plus to me rather than a minus). Everyone seems to like telling people not to buy this board, but never says why, just gives responses like "No. Just no." What about it is so obviously bad that I'm missing?
  • Ducky Shine 3 TKL: Fits layout, cord, switches, customizability, style. Not sure if you can turn backlighting on/off per key or not. If so, fits backlighting well, otherwise so-so. Not sure about price since I don't know where actually to buy one. They seem to be sold out everywhere I look. Seems very highly recommended.

So... If anyone's still reading, any thoughts on the boards listed? Or any other boards I should be considering?

Edit: I should add that I'd be comfortable buying parts and assembling them myself, but when I looked at that quickly it seemed too expensive. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I Was looking into the Cosair K70 and it looks really good, I might get that but I was wondering if this is a good choice?

It certainly looks good, but is it quality for that price?

u/minimuminim · 1 pointr/buildapc

There's the Corsair RGB K70 and the Rosewill RGB80, both of which are programmable. Of course, there's also the Razer Blackwidow Chroma, but it's easily the most expensive option.

u/GamerLucif · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I am looking for a white wireless mechanical keyboard with RGB lighting (I prefer software control for increased customization). I would be aiming for in order of preference TKL > Full > 60% with arrow keys (65%?). I have been surfing some of the resources but the sheer quantity and lack of brand knowledge is daunting so if anyone has time to help that would be amazing.

My current board is BlackWidow Chroma Ultimate 2014 which while I like the RGB and switches, I really don't love the color scheme/massive cord/size.

I'm not extremely concerned with the switch type but I currently use green switches so I believe the non-razer alternative is blue? So blue would be consistent with what I'm used to.

If what I'm asking for is not possible or completely nuts level of expensive I am also looking for paint brand suggestions for painting my current one white, I was looking at these: Rustoleum Matte White and Rustoleum Matte Clear (top coat) but wasn't sure.

Thanks!

Well I have a few mechs, if its your first I would go with something like a g710, the [plus] (http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-High-Speed-920-006519/dp/B00QI2WPJ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449169814&sr=8-1&keywords=g710) if you don't want the click, theres also the [razors tournament] (http://www.amazon.com/Razer-BlackWidow-Chroma-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B00MTWV0II/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1449170072&sr=8-2&keywords=razer), and check out the stealth if you don't want the clicking on that one. These logitech's are an inexpensive option if you want legit cherry switches, and the razer's are as cheep as the shitty Chinese knockoff keyboards but it comes with a warranty.

I've got the same keyboard at home, it's the Razer BlackWidow Chroma.

I love it, but it is fairly loud.

Well. I just found this. Could this be the perfect keyboard for me ?
As i read it , this keyboard is fully colour supported and "silent but clicky"
I would think that means it's without sound and still recognizable click.
Would be awesome if people with some knowledge would check it and say it is or it isn't.

I've got a Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition (Cherry MX Blue) and some of the switches are starting to get funky (0 and 1 keys will double-press sometimes). I'm looking at getting a full-size, individually-backlit, cherry mx blue keyboard under $200. What would you guys recommend? Basically, I'd like something like the Razer Blackwidow Chroma, but I don't want their off-brand switches. I feel like it'll be difficult to find one with that level of customizability unless I go with the Corsair K70, but that only comes with the Cherry MX Speed switches. How do those compare with the blues?

EDIT: Apparently the speeds are basically reds with a higher actuation point and less force required. Basically, that's exactly what I don't want :/ I have browns at work, but they're not clicky enough for my tastes personally. I love my blues.

EDIT 2: Just found this Corsair STRAFE RGB, but I'm not sure I like the media keys. It'd be better than the FN+F3 setup that I have on my current one, though. Looks like it allows for individually-backlit key adjustment, but the shipping time is like 1-2 months. Ouch!

Thanks!

So i've never had a Mechanical Keyboard, currently using a Steel Series Apex 350. Had it for years and it's starting to crap out on me. So been looking into some and I had heard that Red and Brown switches are a bit better for gaming and such. Is this true?

These are some keyboards I was looking into and want some opinions on if there are better/cheaper alternatives that work just as well. Doesn't HAVE to be RGB or dedicated media keys, that's a bonus, just looking some some extra macro keys mainly.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MTWV0II/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1WPB4VBW7G7D0&colid=1H0K32AQ5I465
I have roughly $100 Budget to get one so just looking for some opinions and personal experiences you guys may have had.

EDIT: Another random Keyboard that doesn't SEEM bad. Since IronArgon poitned the Corsaid K55 isn't mechanical.

u/allgood2386 · 1 pointr/PHP

Shity MacBookPro keyboard. The newest, 'old generation, early 2016's with that haptic mouse are garbage. I don't know what they did but I'm not CONSTANTLY having my palm move the cursor and start typing in random fucking places.

Last MBP I'm going to buy unless apple does a 180 and stops with this garbage they've put out recently.

At home I have https://smile.amazon.com/Razer-BlackWidow-Chroma-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B00MTWV0II/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1486643511&sr=8-2&keywords=mechanical+keyboard+gaming+razer but it's used for gaming.

If you share a space/office, do not have this keyboard. It will drive you co-workers crazy. It's a dream to type on but it's quite loud.

u/BohunkFunk · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

Might want to wait it out or readjust price, Amazon has a sale for the BW Chroma right now (as of today), they're going for 140$. Or at least watch out for the lowballs since many might find the 20$ for a brand new BW Chroma over a year old one well worth it. http://www.amazon.com/Razer-BlackWidow-Chroma-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B00MTWV0II/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1457564100&sr=1-1&keywords=Razer+Blackwidow+chroma

u/ginmonk · 1 pointr/wow

I use Razer Blackwidow and love it. The macro buttons are in a very convenient spot, and are super easy to program with the Synapse software.

But it boils down to personal preference, all brands have their advantages.

u/alose · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I beg to differ.

Though the Vortex PBT+POM are the best backlit PBT caps, but they are not perfect. Hopefully Ducky's will be better.

It's rare to see Amazon, Newegg, or Best Buy sell something at Razer's MSRP. For example:

When i built my current rig I went with the [Razer BlackWidow] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MTWV0II/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I do like it a lot although not gonna lie it's a bit loud.
