I’ve fixed my own a couple of times, but I’m no expert. Use something like this, your local hardware store should carry something comparable. There are videos on YouTube as well. Acrylic is soft and 'pushy'. I am going to guess (but don't know) that you have a fiberglass tub.
That being said, fiberglass is water proof. Follow this guide:
