Looks like these are the HDD's on sale for Amazon Cyber Monday. Nothing too crazy, the IronWolf was actually $89.99 last week and it went up to $99.99 for a few days before dropping to $79.99. This still appears to be the cheapest it's ever been, same with the SSHD.

If you decide to use external HDD, the capacities range anywhere from 1TB--8TB. However, be aware that for 8TB you need to have a separate power cable. 4TB is the sweet spot with reasonable capacity and a single cable:

This fireCuda is an SSHD so it is hybrid. I have used it in my Pro for over a year and the loadtime reduction is very noticeable... Not as good as an SSD but yeah. It's great.
You could then get an extra external for VERY cheap for your extended library if you need more than 2TB at a time

So I went through a similar predicament in the late 90s moving from a Mac to a PC.
Although its not listed, your machine probably has 2 hard drives for storage. A SSD (180 GB) which is relatively small but very fast, and a mechanical HDD (probably 1 TB). You probably ended up installing your games on the SSD and ran out of space.
I would suggest you change your installation to the HDD for the large games. Alternately, if your machine did not include a HDD for some forsaken reasion, I would consider purchasing a large SSHD like this Firecuda 2 TB - $100
which occasionally go on sale to as low as $65.
That will give you the space for your games/photos and other large media files and leave the SSD for your operating system.

It will always be faster than a traditional spinner and for 2TB at $99.99 you can't beat it.
My boot drive is a NVME SSD and then I have two SSDs for my games (each 1TB each) and for pictures and files I have a 2TB FireCuda. Works wonders and I have the 2.5 version in my PS4 Pro.
The slim wont fully take advantage of the SSD, but you can get a hybrid drive that has faster RPM (7200) since the stock is 5400RPM. The hybrid drives are still much faster. I am on a PRO, but many have stated the hybrid definitely speeds up your machine. Its an investment, but if you plan on keeping it for a while may be worth your time and money.

5 year warranty on the Firecuda is the biggest thing, but if I already have 2 ~1tb of game storage on ssd is the sshd drive going to be useful at all?
If you are on a tight budget or want some benefits of SSD but want a larger drive, I recommend a hybrid drive. As files (or rather sectors I think) are being accessed more and more, the drive learns and puts those files onto a small SSD for faster loading. I have a 2TB hybrid and my POE load times are excellent.

Seagate FireCuda Gaming SSHD 2TB is the popular choice for an internal drive upgrade, or you can stick with an external drive that can be any physical size as long as it is USB 3.0 and larger than 250GB and no larger than 8TB.

Either way, given these issues, you will want to replace the disk. If you're lucky, you'll be able to recover some data from it. Basically, you'll need to use a Live Disk to boot the comptuer into a Linux environment. Then, mount the drive (often, it will auto-detect it) and copy files from the HDD to a recovery drive, such as a flash drive.

If that doesn't work, try TestDisk. TestDisk works by recovering partition table data. Unfortunately, it is not tested on Windows 10; however it would be worth a try regardless. TestDisk is included in PartedMagic within the UltimateBootCD, another Live Disk utility:

As mentioned at the end of that article, PhotoRec is a good companion program. It is also included on the UBCD and is part of PartedMagic. PhotoRec works by scanning the hard drive for the signatures of known file types and attempting to recover the files.

As for the other drive, it also seems like it is failing. As I don't know your setup, I'm going to assume these are two separate physical disks which are both failing. At least this disk is giving you some warning and you should be able to back up your data without any wangjangling with recovery disks. Basically, individual sectors of the disk (each sector stores a bit of data) are failing and your drive is reallocating them to new sectors. However, the number of failed sectors is quite concerning. If it were only a few, you could "repair" it by marking the sectors as bad; in Windows this is performed by running
chkdsk /r
in an Administrative Command Prompt. In all honesty, it is likely that your computer has already done this behind-the-scenes, hence the appearance of this Reallocated Sectors Count in Crystal Disk Info.

I would recommend a Hybrid Hard drive. Its a regular hard drive with a SSD in it, I got one in my PS4 and runs awesome. a noticeable load time difference between me and normal drive users, and you can get a 2tb drive for 100$.

Are you planning to install your windows via cd or usb? you can get by without a optical slot, i just plug my optical drive into a sata cable when i need it ( which is almost never) you can get a external optical drive if you plan on using it often.

What I did was I installed my OS and common access programs to my M.2 SSD, then I bought two Seagate FireCuda's SSHD (this one specifically) and ran them in a raid 0. This is a good compromise to getting pretty close to the speeds of a dedicated SSD but with A LOT more storage and a fraction of the price.

Also wanted to add that a 5TB HDD is kinda overkill, imo.. unless you absolutely need tons of storage.
You could save $50 by dropping down to a 2TB Seagate HDD, and using that $50 to put towards a better PSU or GPU.

Looks good to me, but you should go with a larger SSD, or a secondary hard drive. You’ll run out of space in no time. I personally use this as my game drive.
I'm assuming this is CAD$ or AUD$? Because in the US, a 500GB SSD can be had for $145 and a 2TB FireCuda is $100.
I can't really recommend the 2.5" version of the FireCuda drives. The 3.5" one is good for gaming since the actual HDD portion of it is 7200rpm, but the 2.5" version is 5400rpm. Even with the hybrid component, that difference is large and easily noticeable.
If you're on a laptop and forced to 2.5" drives, a bigger SSD (despite the cost) is your best bet if you're concerned enough about performance to get an SSHD. 7200rpm drives kill battery life in laptops, and the SSHD bit of a 5400rpm FireCuda really only helps with your most commonly played games. If you switch between games a lot, it won't help much at all since only bits and pieces of every game will be cached.

If you would prefer a quality Z170 board with a black only theme, you might want to look at this board. LINK It is incredibly easy to OC with, great color theme (or lack of) and great built in features.
Remember on RAM for gaming (I did not read your first post so I have no idea of why you are building this PC but I am assuming it is for gaming), speed is less important than CAS. You chose high speed but also high CAS ram. You would be better off in looking for a 13 or 14 CAS rating RAM. Example to stick with black theme
Hitachi drives are not known for long term reliability. You may want to get a FireCuda (if gaming), other barry drive or a WD Black or 7200RPM NAS or Datacenter Drive.
Since you are spending $150 on an SSD, you may want to grab an M.2 drive for ease of cable management and additional speed. Smaller capacity or More expensive or Green PCB
PSU - I would get the 750w because it is on sale for a few dollars more than the 650w right now. It will allow a better efficiency because of where your system will land on the curve. Either is fine though.
I have no experience on monitors so I will not comment.

Get a SSHD. That way you (almost) have the best of both worlds... speed/storge. This is the one I have. Load times are really good.
