Normally I settle for Streamlight because SureFire lights are just so much more expensive but this one is a legit game changer until the other brands catch on.

For example, there's the $10 Tube that u/Natanael_L mentioned which is great bang-for-the-buck.
However, there is also a similar looking $70 Surefire Sidekick that some people consider perfectly "reasonable" -- it has more output and is American-made.
Surefire side kick is pretty nice. Rechargeable through a micro USB, 300 lumens and it had 3 modes. I carry mine all the time. Surefire Sidekick

I've been carrying a Surefire Sidekick for a few weeks and I love it. It's a bit large for keychain carry, I've got mine on a retractable lanyard clipped to a belt loop. But it's incredibly bright, compact, and rechargeable via Micro USB. A bit pricey, but I use it multiple times a day for work and I've found it to be worth the money.
