I have this installed on the roof of my trunk for storing my CCW when I need to leave it in my car. It's actually bolted to the frame so I feel a lot safer about it than the lock boxes that just have a cable to wrap around the seat brackets.
The fact that it's in the trunk (and mostly out of sight even with the trunk open) is important: most smash-and-grab thieves don't even open the trunk, I can put it in valet mode and keep anybody I turn the car over to from even seeing that it's there, and it's a secondary locked container so it automatically complies with all but the most draconian storage/transport laws.

Depends on your clearance - I'd do something like this and bolt it down.
Good question - I haven’t found a good solution yet. I was thinking something like this mounted in the trunk.
What are you trying to fit? My G43 just fits in the center console. Any of my full frame pistols have to go in a sleeve under a seat (for a short period of time only!) or in the trunk.
I built a custom amp rack under the parcel shelf and may mount of those safes to it if there’s space after my second amp is mounted.
This is one of those times where a larger vehicle is beneficial :/
