I order from an online roaster who roasts to order - I order, they roast the next day then ship them out.

Some roasters are probably better than others but these guys seem to take quality seriously. Every blend I've tried of theres has been great. I'm sure theres plenty of similar roasters online in whichever country you're in, people here will no doubt offer a reccomendation

You'll really see a difference between these beans and the ones you use at work. No oil in sight, I like a medium roast and they come out the colour of milk chocolate

I use one of these to froth milk

I like it as I can heat milk in it on the stove before frothing to save having to use two different vessels

Coffee Lovers

You NEED this milk frother thing in your life if you make coffee at home! It heats and foams milk in like 60 seconds, and makes it SO FOAMY! Seriously, I feel no need to go out and get lattes anymore. I look forward to my homemade coffee so much now! My lattes are a grand total of 15 cals now (throw in some pumpkin pie spices and it's so good), and if I turn them into a mocha via some cocoa powder they're up to a whopping 40 calories. It's amazing! (I use stevia for sweetener)

Tips: Unsweetened almond milk foams great! Blue Diamond slightly more so than Silk. Unsweetened flax and cashew milk (edit: two separate milks) don't foam for some reason. Coconut milk TBD. Regular milk foams fantastic (of course, but I'm dairy free, so trying all the milk alternatives). Don't put anything besides milk into the frother or it won't foam (all add-ins go into the coffee first, then dump milk/foam on top).

My opinion is simple is best. No one I know with the expensive machines with timers etc. uses them. The coffee they make isn’t any better.

Over the years we have bought many fancy coffee makers. This one makes the best coffee https://www.amazon.com/Chemex-Classic-Pour-over-Glass-Coffeemaker/dp/B0000YWF5E

For espresso and cappuccino you want this https://www.amazon.ca/GROSCHE-Milano-Stovetop-Espresso-Maker/dp/B07KGCYBWH and this https://www.amazon.ca/Cremafacile-cappucino-frother-Biesse-assorted/dp/B002U7F00G

I'm entering my final year of veterinary college at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, UK.

If you are anything like me, you need one of these. Trust me when I say there is never enough floorspace for shoes!

I need this milk frother for my place. Caffeine is essential any good student! After 4 years of boring black coffee, I need a way to make some lattes :)

Clumping can be an issue with all oxides I no longer use oxides but when I did, I also found titanium dioxide clumped more than others. What worked perfectly for me was pre-mixing with a select amount of olive (only a small amount is needed) using a mini frother: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MDY2UXQ?psc=1 This should definitely remove all the clumps in the finished product.

I have gone thru like 20 different methods to make coffee and have settled on this, readily available at all grocery stores near me

I always liked froth'd milk type latte drinks for their texture but was very hard to get the right consistency/thickness/viscosity with heavy cream (and was ton of calories) or any blends of almond/coconut type milks

  • 1/4cup Buttercream in microwave for 90seconds
  • Add 2 splenda (neat to see the creamer bubble when you do this)
  • Froth with motorized hand mixer thing
  • Fill cup with Drip coffee
  • Drink
  • Repeat!

That Atikins stuff has like 1/5th the carbs in a 1/4cup thou, will have to give it a try

Try out a moka pot - it's technically not "true" espresso, but the spirit tells me otherwise. Get a milk frother and you're all set! I buy the big tubs of cheap Yuban brand coffee and it's delicious.

This thing seems to have gotten good reviews:
http://www.amazon.com/Froth-Au-Lait-Frothing-White/dp/B00005O0LJ/ref=tag_dpp_lp_edpp_ttl_in

here's another one, reviews are mixed:
http://www.amazon.com/Capresso-201-01-FrothXpress-Automatic-Frother/dp/B00005A452/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1260238427&sr=8-1

I used to use one like this with pretty good results--it's sort of like a french press in design, and you put in the milk and plunge the press part up and down to force air intot he milk.

Keep in mind that Bodum is just a brand and they sell a ton of products.

I use a Bodum French Press and bean grinder, and a Nespresso frother.

I used to have and use an espresso machine with the tamper and steam every morning but much prefer the product I get out of what I use now...and it's less work to use and easier to clean.

u/Smilingaudibly · 3 pointsr/keto

Use one of these guys - they're like $6 and work perfectly to blend powders into liquids!

u/beaniebugg · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Go Ben :D!

I think you should buy yourself this because with a milk frother, you can literally make the best espresso/coffee drinks at home and it's really worth it!

u/DangReadingRabbit · 3 pointsr/nespresso

I bought this one on Amazon and have been very happy with it. It has 4 settings and comes with an extra wisk too.

I freaking love that thing! I've had mine a couple of years, and it is amazing.

Bodum 11653-18 Chambord Classic Milk Frother, 5 oz, Copper https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Z6DS864

Edit: froth the milk cold, then microwave. OMG!

u/Amar0ks · 1 pointr/Coffee

I'm seachring the same.
Until now i found two solutions.

Nespresso

Smart Coffe

But im not realy satisfied with both, (after reading some reviews).

I wish i coud set a timer for my french press.

u/jbartol · 2 pointsr/AskReddit

Got one of these for the office - they're AMAZING!!!

u/Reverserer · 1 pointr/keto

warm up butter in microwave - use frother - profit?

Edit: i use a frother - works well

Frother i bought

u/TheTyrantLizardKing · 1 pointr/tea

Yeah, same process for lattes. There are standalone electric milk frothers that I believe also heat the milk. I think I've seen those range from like $50-$200 CAD. Those would probably work decently well, but I've never tried one before.

Something like this (non-affiliate link).
