I buy gift cards from Kroger because of the gas points :D

Also, if you haven't already, try the Kind brand bars for snacking. They have other great things too like cereal and other goodies.

You're going to think I'm crazy, but baby wash is so good to use for bathing. It's gentle on the skin. The shampoo is a good idea too. Also, it doesn't have to be bought from Pantry.

Mixing bowls in steel so you know you can get them hot in the sink or dishwasher and they'll be clean.

If you need food storage, get rid of the porous plastic and go with Pyrex, which is glass.

Again, I think stainless is the way to go. You can see if there's something on it, there's no extra lining (like non-stick that chips) and you can get it hot and completely sanitize it. I like this cooking set and you can add the cooking utensils too!

If I win, just surprise me :)

This stuff (minus the wash) puts you at about $130 so in between your ~$100-$150

Y'ALL AIN'T NEVA SEEN BOWLS LIKE DEEZ HEEYA

I've had my Anchor Hocking 3-Piece Mixing Bowl Set and the 4 QT bowl and use them for everything from serving salad to baking bread pudding. I searched the second hand stores for glass lids for them all so I can raise bread without using plastic wrap. Stainless is great, but I like to see my work so it and my ceramic bowl get used much less. I just wish they sold a set with matching lids, most bowl sets have plastic colored lids that might be more air tight, but in my experience just do not last and cannot go into the oven.

I am also moving into a new place soon and have nothing for the kitchen so this would be great. I think you need it because you need to be able to mix brownie or cookie mix so you can invite people over to a house warming party and I need it because I don't own many cooking supplies!

Positive $132!

Happy Almost Birthday!

I really want this batter bowl

  1. You'll probably want at least one non stick pan for eggs. Teflon is not harmful provided it's not heated to around 500F. It's used in medical implants and is totally inert in the body.
  2. Generally it's better to go for quality, but you don't have to go all out. For any of the big premium price names, there's a mid priced brand that's virtually the same product. Stuff on the very low end tends to be trash.
  3. You should have around a 10" nonstick pan, an oven safe 12" pan you can use at high temperatures, a 4-6 quart pot or dutch oven, and maybe a larger stock pot. Supplant that with some baking sheets and you've got enough to cook for 4-6 people or so.

  5. I'd say follow your interest in recipes more than anything. Motivation is a big deal, and if you think the food is boring you'll be tempted by the drive through.

  • Small glass prep bowls for games with lots of small pieces, like Agricola. I bought some like these at Target for $1 each.

  • A dice tray.

  • Poker chips for certain games, such as Food Chain Magnate.

Nod nod.

I thin my "designed for airbrushes" primer even with my good airbrush (I use Badger's Stynylrez primer.) It goes on much nicer.

Another thing you may want to consider is mixing the paint/primer and thinner outside of the brush cup. Most of the videos I watched while learning to airbrush talked about mixing the paint right inside the cup - but my personal experience is that mixing it outside of the cup produces a dramatic reduction in clogs. I picked up a few quarter-cup silicon "pinch" bowls specifically for this.

With these you can absolutely tell when there is a clump on the paint mixture. The silicone means the cups are a breeze to clean up, and you waste less paint too since it pours out easily.

Examples of the silicone bowls I mean:

G'day, I'm a little new to all of this, so hope this helps!

Instead of the bowl/utensil set, go with This one it's 23 pieces $39.98 then grab These bowls for only $8.99
Don't buy any books, there is more info online.
For shampoo, just use bicarbonate of soda (in a bottle and mix with warm water) then after using that, rinse off with apple cider vinegar. Natural and will clean your hair! (Just don't start eating salad in the shower). Cheap enough at about $5 for 2 months of washing hair.
This one is $10 cheaper and would do the same thing!

I don't know if this is what you are after, but judging from the other answers on here I think I may have done what you asked. If not, sorry!

Edit: also make your own GF flour!

1 1/2 cups (240 g) brown rice flour.
1/2 cup (96 g) potato starch.
1/4 cup (40 g) white rice flour.
1/4 cup (30 g) tapioca flour.
optional: 1 tsp xanthan gum (not necessary).

Here she is! The bowl is larger than the default as well which is really nice.

Yeah, hand sanitizer is probably a big part of your problem. I don't have long wait times, so I just wet my hands between steps so my bottles don't get sticky. What I generally do, is fill my sink with water to wash my face and then keep using it as a basin to dip my hands in between steps. I mostly use a wet washcloth to wipe away cleanser, so it doesn't usually have much more than water. You might try your actives without long wait times for a bit and see if they still work, at least while you're in a dorm. I never needed to wait longer than a minute or two with mine (I don't use them anymore because my face was always like "hell no, this shit is too harsh" even though I was using the freaking super gentle Cosrx stuff...) and they always worked just fine.

Another option, while you are in a dorm.. it could get a bit pricy over time, but maybe getting some disposable gloves, like the powederless ones they wear in doctor's offices. I buy these ones and they aren't bad. 100 for $10, so 50 pairs. I use mine for handling meat in the kitchen because I have issues with touching raw meat or for oiling up potatoes or something because olive oil takes forever to wash off, but they don't end up being all that expensive, even if you use a pair every day. But you could use a pair for your actives and then a pair for the routine if you can't wash your hands prior.

I think a third option, would be to buy a small bucket, or one of those collapsible bowls. Something like this maybe?, that you could fill with water to use as a basin in your room to at least get a rinse on your hands and then you could just walk it back when you are done to dump it out.

The last idea I could think of, isn't my favorite, but maybe cleansing wipes, or baby wipes, so you could get a kinda-wash on your hands from your room. Just keep tabs on your skin, because even the gentlest of them could cause skin problems when residues are mixed with your products.

HippressureCooking has an entire page devoted to this topic.

Any heat proof container that fits inside should work. Look for something that's oven safe. The recipe specifies a 4c (1qt) container.

  • Pyrex makes a bunch of round glass bowls that may work.
  • CorningWare makes a bunch of white glazed stoneware crocks that also could work. These are thick though, so you may have trouble finding one that fits with enough capacity.
  • Stainless Steel would be another (good) option. Also look at Camping pots: they tend to be more angular than mixing bowls and usually come with lids/lift handles which help when pressure cooking.

I don't know which ones would fit well in the Instant Pot (on my to-do list) but you should be able to measure the diameter & height of the inside of the pot, then look at the specs to find one.

you could do what a lot of people in the UK do (I've been told other countrys don't do this but idk) we basically have a massive square bowl the same size as the sink in the sink. we wash our dishes in it and then we wash the massive bowl like any other bowl

u/sillygirlsarah · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

You know what I need? I need Mixing bowls because this cute fluffy ass keeps knocking mine off the counter and chewing on them :| Betterthat she chew on them than on socks thought. Because socks rocks. Thanks for this contest!

u/thegoddamntrain · 2 pointsr/Wet_Shavers

Just use this as your lather bowl and be sure to fill it every time.

u/hugemuffin · 2 pointsr/Cooking

Yup, the only time I bust out these are for prepping bread or pizza dough.

I actually use a set of hard plastic bowls for everything else. Except for cookie making, there's just something not right about making cookie dough in anything except steel.

u/MorganAlyssa95 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I could really use these Mixing Bowls . I moved into my very first apartment a few months ago, and I absolutely love baking but I completely forgot to buy any sort of mixing bowls for when I bake. And I'm broke soo..
